41 New Member
I cant beleive what ive just done.

I have just deleted the main form for my database and there is no back up at all. (i know, i know)

Is there any way I can recover this?

I have closed the database since deletion, so i guess im probably screwed!

Thanks!

I'm afraid this is one of those times when you're going to hate yourself for being right! There are some data recovery services that claim they can recover deleted objects, but I've never heard from anyone who actually had this done successfully, and the cost, of course, would be way more than it would be worth to simply avoid recreating a form!

Sorry!

Thanks,

I have looked into getting the file recovered (since it was on a network). hopefully that will work out.

Well, this is a lesson I guess, always back your flies up!

I've had a user delete one of the client records, I do have a version of the DB with all records intact before the deletion occured. Whats the best approach to getting all the related records in each of the tables? I have about 12 tables to put data back into and multiple records for each. Would I need to make an append or update query for each table?

Hi all, I made a horrible thing this week. I have an script that delete all data from all user tables, and I run it in the master database. After this I couldn't access the metadata from the tables of my databases using a JDBC connection. My script runs over all sysobject that are different from dtproperties. I don't have a back up of master table. I have tried to copy the data from another master database (from another machine) but I did...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
