Need remote access

I have an MSACCESS database that I need to be able to access from our
second business location. There will only be 2-3 users at anytime
using the database.

I am wondering what is the most cost effective way to implement this:

1. VPN Tunnel using two routers

2. Install Windows 2003 server and use Terminal Server, so the second
office user can use remote connection.

3.Upsize to MSSQL.

I use www.logmein.com for accessing all my remote systems. The free version
does just fine if you don't need to transfer files. If you do, just use a
free FTP client if you have an intermediate place to upload/download to and
from.

Or one could use GoToMyPC. You could access the data from anywhere on
any computer that has access to the internet.
Well I want to control what resources are avail to the remote site.

Context: Running Windows 2003 Server on an intranet. A web is configured with an anonymous access account that is a domain account that has been granted the desired access to a file on another server in the domain. An asp page in the web attempts to open (or any other access) the remote file and fails. Auditing is enabled on the remote system and for the file in question but no access denied records are being recorded.

Is it possible to call a remote php script from within Access? I'm thinking something like: DoCMD... http://www.domain.com/scripts/dataquery.php DoCmd.OpenQuery "update_data", acNormal, acEdit ..... So the PHP script does something on the server database, then when a linked table is viewed within access, the data changes have been made?

Hello all, I am attempting to access a remote folder from an asp.net application (all within the same domain). The application is configured for windows authentication in IIS and the asp.net worker process runs as the local ASP.NET account. When the application is about to access the remote folder I switch the security context to the remote user programmatically, then switch it back afterwards. When I run the application on my local...

I have an ASP.NET web page accessing a SQL database. I've used VS to build the app and stored it in the eNPTest02 directory of my localhost on my development machine. The database is on the web. I've found a way that works on the web, and I'm trying to get it to also work in debug mode in the IDE. The "on the web" page and my SQL database are hosted by a third party (on separate servers). Since debug mode opens IE and loads my page...

I've spent 2 months working on this Access 2003 db, get something done and then the 'boss' wants something different that what was originally stated, or wants to add this or that. It's been nuts, but it's finally done. Now he has decided, after telling me that this is what he didn't want at the beginning of the project, that he wants to be able to access the db online and to create one that he can have uploaded to a server and work on...

Hello everyone, This is my first attempt at getting help in this manner. Please forgive me if this is an inappropriate request. I suddenly find myself in urgent need of instruction on how to communicate with a MySQL database table on a web server, from inside of my company's Access-VBA application. I know VBA pretty well but have never before needed to do this HTTP/XML/MySQL type functions.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
