Hi everyone! I was wondering if there is a away to use Access 97's
build in filter-by-form function but restrict its effect to just the
subform.
I have a parent form that shows the major divisions of the company,
and a subform that is linked so that it displays all the jobs within
the division in the parent form. I also want the ability to filter
the subform, so the users can pick out a bunch of common jobs easily.
I did this using a...

Hello
I have an application in MS Access 2000. I have a form, which includes
a subform. The subform is based on a table, but locked for any
editing. There is Edit button. When clicked, it starts a separate
unbound form with all the fields, which are on the subform. The fields
are filled in with data programmatically. User edits. Edited fields
are copied into fields on the subform programmatically as well.
I need to catch change in one of...

Hi,
I am working on a genealogy form. The only table (so far) lists everybody
in the family, one record per person. Each record has an autonum ID.
The parent form (frmMainForm) displays the data in each record, which
includes the ID of the father and the mother (who also have records in the
table). One record per form.
I have a Tab Control in the form, and in one of the tabs I have a subform
(sfmSiblings) in which I wish to list...

In reading some of the posts on this group, it appears as though it is
not strait forward at all to filter a form, which has subforms, by
criteria which are either on subforms or span more than one
subform.....
This MSDN article however makes it sound as simple as clicking "Filter
by Form", entering the search criterial in the form and/or it's
subforms, then just clicking "Apply Filter"......

I have a form (Worksheet) that works fine by itself. I have now created a
seperate form (MainForm) that has a command button in the header and an
unbound subform (FormFrame) in the Detail section. when the user clicks the
command button, Worksheet is loaded into the subform control. At this point,
some of the functions do not work. The user is prompted to enter a Parameter
Value. Why wouldn't that form (Worksheet) work the same as a sub...

I know this has been discussed, but I can't find a resolution. I have
a subform on a form. The table with the data for the main form has
15,000 records. I am opening and then setting recordsource so as to
only pull 1 record.
The table where the subform data comes from has 130,000 records. There
is a parent/child link. Indexed on those fields. I have set the
datasource to the table, SQL statements and a number of different
queries...

Hello,
I am using Access 2003. I have a query which shows a list of club
meetings sorted by date. This query is displayed in continuous forms,
in a subform. I would like to select a month on the main form which
is then used to filter the results for the meeting dates, perhaps by
using monthname(month()).
I have struggled to find the syntax which will allow me to use the
AfterUpdate Event on the combo box to apply and turn on the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
