Greetings,
I am working on a project and we need to write a conversion script to
initialize a new field on a table. The number of records on this table
is on the order of millions so routine selection and update takes a
long time.
I am tasked with writing a pl/sql proc that utilizes array processing
to update the column.

In VBA, I constructed the following to update all records in
tblmyTable with each records in tblmyTableTEMP having the same
UniqueID:
UPDATE
tblMyTable RIGHT JOIN tblMyTableTEMP ON tblMyTable.UniqueID =
tblMyTableTEMP.UniqueID
SET
tblMyTable.myField = tblMyTableTEMP.myField,
tblMyTable.myField2 = tblMyTableTEMP.myField2,

I'm getting an inconsistent failure when trying to save
data in ADO.Net.
I'm using an Access database with a simple query - SELECT
StudentID, FirstName, LastName FROM Students - and have
no other users in the database. I keep getting the
message 'Operation must use an updateable query.'
Process seems to work on some PC's, not others. Is there
a difference in .Net framework versions? Or some other

I'm working on a project in VB.net connecting to a SQL Server 2000 database
that I can't modify
I created a dataset with a schema identical to the DB.
When trying to update the DB from the dataset using the dataAdapter.update
sub, I get an error.
The problem seems to be that one of the fields was named 'desc' which is a
reserved word for SQL.
I've been able to work around this design flaw 'till now but it looks like
the update sub can't...

I really need help figuring this out.
i have a db with mostly text fields but 2.
The user_id field is an autonumber (key) and the user_newsletter is a
number (1 and 0) field meaning 1 yes the person wants to receive a
newsletter and 0 no, don't want to receive it.
Now.....when trying to create an UPDATE statement I am running into
problems writing the code for it.
I had issues before with missing commas but now that the commas are
there...

My database has 2 tables: Table1 & Table2. If a field is not null on a
record in table2, then the not null fields in table1 that correspond to
the records in table1 needs to be updated to match the field in table2.
What I have is a form that is linked to Table2. If the users want to
change a field in the main database (table1), they fill the change in
to the form (which is linked to table2) If there is no change to the
field, they simply...

Hello
Needing help with a suitable solution.
I have extracted records into a table under three columns 'category',
'comment' and share (the category column also holds the index no of the
record in a hidden field)
I wish the user to be able to edit the data in the table, so I have
extracted the records into hiddenfield, textareas, dropdown list and
checkbox so that they can make changes.
I named these elements as arrays and wish to run an...

I will ask the question first then fumble thru trying to explain myself so i
dont waste too much of your time.
Question / Statement - Every mdb table needs a PrimaryKey ( or maybe an
index - i havnt tested the index yet ) so you
can use an .UPDATE( dataTable ) on the data adapter. Otherwise you will
get an exception error.
Is this statement true?

Hi all,
Maybe this belongs in the Full Text group but I am writing an ASP.NET
application with a SQL Server 2005 backend, so I am posing the question
here.
I have been using fulltext search on a text field for a while because
originally the field was only being updated nightly and I could
repopulate/rebuild the index nightly. Now I will be allowing users to Update
the field in real-time. I am using a simple Update SQL statement to...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
