The runtime never shows the db window (pre 2007) nor the nav-pane in 2007. You
are expected to use the runtime with fully polished apps where you have supplied
the entire interface.

I'm looking to place an icon for my app on the Navigation Pane (lower right of task bar), yet haven't been able to find any information on how to do this. The app basically is a running file watcher that fires off a routine when a file appears in a specific folder. I want the icon on the Navigation Pane to show the user it is running but don't want the program to be minimized with an icon on the task bar (similar to SQL Server icon in...

Hello All, I have an app that has been rock solid (sofar) installed using Sagekey scripts etc and is currently a 2002/3 file. However client is upgrading to 2007 (so I have setup a test machine with XP & Office 2007 - this will be the setup on the client machines) and when I try to open the entire database is open despite using the following: Public Function SetStartupProperties()

Hello all, I wonder if it's possible to build a customer form for the navigation pane that includes a treeview control on it? I have a large parts database, and this would seem ideal for browsing the part categories, and would give the user the flexibility to save the screen real-estate by not always showing the treeview categories. Many Thanks,

I've been looking and maybe I've missed something but is there a way to undock the navigation pane or at least not have it "always on top" in design view? I realize it can be minimized, but having to do this all the time to reclaim my screen real estate in design view seems very counterproductive.

Greetings. I want to run the two versions of Access on the same machine (2003 & 2007). I still need 2003 for most of my work, yet I need to start learning 2007. In my previous attempts at this, right after the release of 2007, I had problems with the installation dialog running every time I switched versions. Along with file association issues. I was hoping to find a work around to this, assuming that 8+ months later there would be a...

I noticed that I can set a custom navigation bar to my 2007 database. But it only allows setting up groups - but not to add items to the group. What I want to do is get away from my old access tabs and call my programs from the left navigation bar. Any ideas? Also, will this run ok in the runtime. Paul

Office 2007 & thus Access has had it's menus replaced with the Ribbon Bar. It's very disconcerting. In Word, Excel, Access, I feel totally lost. Also all the shortcut Menu pulldowns don't work anymore ... eg Alt F-S to save a file Alt F-U for Page Setup in Word/Excel etc. etc.

I created a database using full blown access 2007. I have put it out for users to grab and test using Runtime Access 2007. They have entered data and now I need to go back into a table and change a setting for a different test. I am opening the same database using full blown MS 2007 and when I do, it appears I have no tables or queries. I have gone to the navigation pane, navigation options and set the property to show hidden objects but the...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
