Hello!
Every time I open my application (written in MS 2003 after being
converted from a previous edition), I get the message "This file may
not be safe if it contains code that was intended to harm your
computer". I suppose not! My question is, how can I disable this
message???

Really annoying, isn't it?
To disable it, click Macro on the Tools menu.
There's a Security flyout.
Set the macro security to Low.
Access 2007 has a better solution. You tell it which folders you trust, and
then it doesn't bug you for databases in those folders. For databases in
other locations, the code doesn't run at all.

Hi
Before anyone blasts me for posting a question that the solution clearly
appears in the help file, please read on.
I keep getting the Security Warning : Opening.. x database may not be safe,
because it could contain harmful code, etc. We all know the warning.
Help says : Go to Tools menu, Macro and click on Security. (Running Office
2003). One slight problem, I don't have the 'security' option as listed.

I made some Access 2K databases using Windows98SE, now I am making
some modifications and find myself inundated with Microsoft Warnings.
Windows 2000 Pro and Office 2003 all updated with the latest (?)
security patches.
On opening I get a Security Warning, Then a dialog box about Microsoft
Jet 4 and the need to update to that (done) Then yet another security
warning... Enough already.
How can one tell Access that "this" DB is fine the...

Hi
I used the code below to automatically open a pdf file when the user clicks
on a menu option.
It works great on local machine, but when I
uploaded it to hosting site and then tried it,
I get a 'File download-security warning' window popping up that ask if I
want to download or open the file.
It wants to download the aspx page itself , instead of the pdf file.
I'd would like it to offer to open the pdf file, or avoid this security

I'm sure there is a very simple answer to this, but I can't work it out. In my new contract I am running Access 2003 on Windows XP and whenever I open a dbs I get asked two security questions.
1st is 'Security Warning, Unsafe Expressions not blocked"
2nd is 'Opening mydbs.mdb, this file may not be safe blah blah blah'
How do I turn these warnings off, I cant find any option to do so?

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
