How to delete or edit a Machine Data Source type DSN from the ODBC Select Data Source window.

MLH
Am using A97. Have defined Machine Data Source type DSNs
in Access' File, Get External Data, Link Tables, Files of Type ODBC,
Machine Data Source tab. Have many definitions. Would like to
delete some. Would like to edit some.

How to delete? I don't think editing is possible.

Not sure about your exact answer but consider going DSN less.

I much prefer DSN-Less connections as it is one less thing for someone to have to
configure and one less thing for the users to screw up. This is also better for
Citrix/TS farms where each individual system would have to have a DSN created and
maintained.

I have a form with a search text box and a grid that displays the results. Within the grid, I have edit command links set up to response.redirect to another page that puts the DataKey value in the query string. The problem is, when I return to my initial page and do another search by entering a value in the text box then hitting enter, it takes that value and sends it to the other page as if I hit the edit link within the grid. Help...

Hi, I made a detailsview for inserting records. I also made a gridview for editing and deleting the same records. The keyfield is an autonumbering field in Access (pcnr). My problem is: I can see the new inserted records in the gridview but I can't delete or edit them. When clicking on delete or edit link, nothing happens (no error either). All the others records (not inserted via the detailsview) can be edited and deleted.

Hello all: I want to present my user with a list of all system data source names (System DSN) that are defined on his machine that are of type MS Access (.mdb). However, I am having some trouble figuring out how, programatically, to get access to the ODBC data sources defined on the user machine. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks much,

There are essentially three techniques for publishing Access Data on the Web. The first technique is static, and does not allow for the dynamic addition or modification to the data, There is no direct link to the data, and in order to update it, you must republish. I am referring to the HTML Format. The second format, IDC, is an older, obsolete technology that runs on Microsoft web Servers. IDC has limited functionality, no script language...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
