Can't find project or library - Access 2003

15 New Member
Hello All,

I am trying to introduce an update to a MS Access Data Project. It works fine on my pc but when I try installing it on my testers pc's, I get this error:

Can't find project or library
When I debug it on user's pc, the offending line is this:

Public srv1 As SQLDMO.SQLServe r

I went into the references box and can see that the reference is missing and I can repair it at their pc, but it won't be possible to do that on all affected pc's. How can I keep from introducing this issue? The reference on my pc is correct and I ensured that I have the most recent version.

Just hoping somebody may have come across this before.

Thanks!

Julie

The only "permanent" solution will be to create an install package that also holds the referenced .dll's.
In the older versions you had a "Profession al" edition that could create such a package, but now you'll need to use the VB packager or a thirdparty solution.

It will require some work, but installing the application will look certainly more "profession al".

Someone is trying to run my Access 2002 database under Access 2003. He has had a number of problems: 1) i used the MSComCt2.ocx for it's Date and Time picker. I can't find it under 2003. Do I need to send it to them? 2) I have a function to fill a table with values, that store the page and column numbers of a display of staff members. I had him check the link to Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library under references, but it still won't...

I can't make this script work properly. I've gone as far as I can with it and the rest is out of my ability. I can do some html editing but I'm lost in the Java world. The script at the bottom of the html page controls the form fields that are required. It doesn't function like it's supposed to and I can leave all the fields blank and it still submits the form. Also I can't get it to transfer the file in the upload section. The file name...

By reuse, I mean a function in an assembly which is called in another assembly. By a mixed-mode function I mean a function whose signature has one or more CLR types and one or more non-CLR types. The problem: I have a number of mixed-mode functions which I want reuse. These functions revolve around converting a CLR String to a C++ std::string or

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
