cmd buttons don't work with subforms

Hello experts,

I have 3 cmd buttons (undo changes, clear order and save order). I added a second subform and moved some controls around...Now I'm having difficulty getting them to work again on either of the subforms, only works ont the main form. The two subforms are bridged together to the Main form through a text control..

Has any experienced this and can direct me how to get them working again? thanks. Better yet, does anyone have a routine for either cmd button that actually works?

thanks

If you have copied and pasted and/or renamed these buttons, and they have code behind them, you will need to re-establish the link between the button and the code it runs. Just click into the code builder for each event that contains code, and make sure it all corresponds. If the buttons have been renamed you might need to copy and paste the code into the new Sub routine and delete the old one from the form code module.

Regards,
Scott

A single form (i.e. no subforms) opening full screen, how can I get the navigation buttons (Access built in) to be higher than the bottom of the screen. It annoys the users - they go for the nav buttons and end up raising the taskbar, which is set to autohide. TIA, Mike MacSween

Hi, I've created a series of navigation buttons to be used as a standard across many forms in an Access DB. Does anyone know an easy way to cut and paste these navigation buttons into each new form I create. Re-creating them is VERY Painful and regular cut and paste doesn't work. I've read something about making a standard module for each button but I don't know how to assign that to the new buttons on each form. Help.... :(

Buttons don't work if form is opened on startup A2k If 'frmMain' is set to open by default at startup none of the buttons work. If 'frmMain' is opened from the database window then all the buttons work. The form's name ('frmMain') is selected from in the Startup dialog box.

Hi All, I am developing an Access 2003 project application with the back end in SQL Server 2003. I have a master form that tracks projects, and several subforms on it that track various aspects of the project. On the masterform I have two unbound listboxes that I populate with information regarding the current record in one of the subforms.

Afternoon Is it possible to display test alongside the Navigation Buttons in an MS Access form? I have a complex form containing a number of subforms where the Navigation Buttons are relatively adjacent. Users are getting confused as to which Navigation Button they are selecting, so adjacent text would help.

Hello all, I have created a database for my work that stores information for keys/locks, doors and employees. Specifically the database contains all the information of our lock system, which doors certain locks are attached to and what employees have keys to certain locks. The form has 3 subforms, 1 is the Key List which is basically the master subform as the other 2 subforms are a Door List and Staff List both of which are linked to...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
