Navigation Buttons - Display text alongside

Afternoon

Is it possible to display test alongside the Navigation Buttons in an
MS Access form?

I have a complex form containing a number of subforms where the
Navigation Buttons are relatively adjacent.

Users are getting confused as to which Navigation Button they are
selecting, so adjacent text would help.

Many thanks

You might consider removing the built-in nav buttons and replacing them with
your own buttons. Then you could label them as you want.

Yes. You can create your own navigation buttons.

Partial code you can use, for the area of entering the record number,
can be found at http://www.mvps.org/access/forms/frm0026.htm.

Maybe some info in
http://groups.google.com/group/comp....4bcb0db0b00dfb
will help as well.

In Google Groups (advanced search) look for "Navigation Button code" in
groups "*Access*".

Gary, Access 2007 can do this, but previous versions cannot.

In the current version, you just set the Navigation Caption property for the
form.

I've been trying to figure out how to do this for the past 2 days and am finally tossing in the towel. No matter what I do, I just can't seem to get it to work and haven't been able to find any examples of how to do it in a more CSS-oriented way. Most of the hierarchical examples are for vertical navigation menus. Basically, I'm trying to achieve the same effect as on anthropologie.com (that's the only one that I can think of...

Hi, I have a problem to get this working on Opera 7.x+. This does not need to work on older Opera browsers There are problems on rendering the sub-level navigation. It aligns right on Firefox and IE 6. Sometimes there are also some problems on IE 5 or IE 5.5. I would like the navigation to work like this:

I am having some trouble with some old code revolving around custom form navigation buttons. My main form has a sub-form with these custom navigation buttons. In other words, the code should be modular and work across forms and sub-forms. My previous code was taken from the Access Expert Solutions 97 (Leszynski) many years ago. As my database became more complex with multiple sub-forms and intricate combo boxes, the code faltered. Some...

Howdy, Saw a couple threads from the past few years on this topic, but didn't really find any solutions. Here's one I found: http://groups.google.com/group/comp.databases.ms-access/browse_frm/thread/f6ccff0186d12566/ That fella wanted to do pretty well the same thing I did (use a command button to move between records in a form). Moving from record to record

Hello and TIA for your consideration. I have created several db's for a non-profit and they want custom navigation buttons to display "You are on the first record, last record, etc". With this ng help I've created code for all except the add new record command button. If I create individual sub functions behind each form, no problem. The problem is I am trying to create a re-usable module.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
