I'd like a Javascript function I have written to be invoked whenever
*any* new document is been loaded into a particular frame (i.e I don't
control the incoming document's BODY tag). Under MSIE5.5, I've found
that the ONLOAD handler attribute of the corresponding frame element
is invoked *every* time a new document is loaded into that frame.
This works fine for me.
Under NN6.2, however, I find that the same ONLOAD handler attribute...

Forgive me if this has already been covered...
I use dual displays and have 2 - 3 Visual Studio .NET 2003's open at the
same time, however, without fail, at some point during my session, the title
bar and border of one of the VS.NET's copies 1/2 of its height and 1/2 of
its width, so I end up with this floating titlebar and border taking up the
lower left corner of my 2nd monitor with an invalidated paint area.
Is there a fix?

Hello;
My "index.htm" page has 3 frames (content, navigation bar, and logo).
I set the "SRC" of the "logo" frame to a blank gif image and then want to
change it's contents after the other two frames have been loaded by using a
javascript statement from the "navigation" frame, as shown below:
top.window.ccs_logo.src = 'images/ccs_logo.gif';
alert(top.window.ccs_logo.src);

Is there some way to redirect the "main" frame to another URL from within the "header" frame?
Thanks,
Don

I have an off-the-shelf app that uses an Access database as its
backend. One of the tables contains a field with an "OLE Object"
datatype. I'm writing some reports against this database, and I
believe this field contains data I need. When I view the table in
datasheet view, all I can see in this field is the string "Long
binary data".
So, I've got the problem of needing to extract data from this
field, but I don't know what format...

I 've got this message :
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site
might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your

I'm trying out ASP.Net and am currently trying to figure out how to refresh
the contents of one frame based on a button click in another frame. The
button in question is actually a server side control whose associated action
is to add a record to a database table. The "other" frame is displaying a
view of that table and I want it to automatically refresh to display the new
record.
Is there a way to accomplish this via ASP; i.e., without...

Does anyone know how to open a table in datasheet view and have the
surrounding window be fitted to the table? In other words, I'd like
the "frame" window surrounding the table to be fitted to the table.
Another solution would be is if there is a way to make Access 2003
remember the window sizes and positions for individual tables in
datasheet view.
Thanks.

I've searched Google and the group archives, and came up empty, but
maybe I just haven't selected the right search term.
This concerns only the screen -- printing isn't an issue. I'm also
not concerned about the appearance of the page in IE6 as long as the
page is still usable.
I want to have two pseudo-frames, using only CSS and no JS. The top
"frame", 4em high, is a menu, and I want it to stay at the top of the
viewport. The rest...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
