I run Access 2000. We still have Access 97 resident on our server. We run all of this inside of a Citrix environment. I have a macro which runs a dozen or so queries and macros. At the end of the macro, and within several of the macros, there are several e mails that are supposed to send. The macro is running and completing the beeps I have at the end, but it is skipping some events and not stoping and posting a halt notice. If I copy the macro, I can run it, and once it runs, I have to delete the events which ran correctly, save it, close Access, reopen it and then run it again until the next failure. Upon each failure, I repeat the above. Any help would be greatly appreciated. David

Just a general comment on M$ Access macros in general: They do not allow error handling.
This means that you are most likely suffering from some unhandled errors in your macro(s).
It's a labor intensive task to convert them to VBA code, but could be well worth the effort, especially since VBA code is magnitudes easier to troubleshoot, and DOES allow error handling and trapping.

Scott
David. I had a similar issue but I contact Seth at www.adaset.net and they fixed my issue. Not sure what they did but it worked, I have 30 servers in my farm.

I run Apache2 and PHP5 and most of the time it works fine with my scripts.
Then occasionally, and it doesn't seem to make any difference when,
I'll get php session errors, saying that that permission is denied.
I've checked the /private/tmp folder (desig in php.ini) for permissions
and it's fine (drwxrwxrwt). But here's the weird bit. when I first hit
a website, it places a session tmp file in /private/tmp just like it
should, with...

I have a database built in Access that is on our Windows Server. We
have a satellite office in Houston that uses Citrix to access our
server. Here in the main office, we have 15 users that log directly
into the LAN; there are 4 users that dial in via Citrix.
We have constant errors in our Home office that someone has locked up
the database and entry is denied. When this happens (at least 5 times
a day), I have to contact the Houston...

Last week I posted as follows, but no-one responded:
" I have security level 'Medium' and expression blocking set. If I set
security to 'Low', I get a dialog box which asks if I want to enable
expression evaluation. Irrespective of whether I respond 'Yes' or 'No', the
security level now shows as 'Low' and databases open thereafter without any
warning dialogs. The only operational difference is that I'm prompted to
restart Access if I...

Tab pages, which I have added to forms in design view, are occassionally
reordered without warning. Other than hard-coding the tab order by clearing
then readding these same tab pages outside InitializeComponent, is there
another way to prevent such reodering?

I have a hyperlink field in a form that points to a .pdf file. Upon
opening, a warning message pops up giving all the standard cautionary
rhetoric (trusted source, dangerous file, etc.). Is there a way to disable
the warning?
Thanks,
Greg.

Hi All,
I tried to access the mysql database in ODBC using ip address and
username/password.
It returns, "cannot connect to MySQL server on IP ADDRESS(10060)".
This could be related to Firewall on the server.
Is there anyway to access MySQL database using ODBC without opening
port 3306?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
