Printing to a label printer

1 New Member
Hello guys,i'm new here, nice to meet you all :-)

I need some help in access, particul arly in printing to label printers.I've developed a program that generate labels to print to a label printer(Datamax E-4203).The problem is,the label prints to that printer but it doesn't print fast(print 1 label, pause 1 sec, print 1 label, pause again and so on).If I'm using a commercial label maker program like Teklynx Labelview, the label will print very fast and continously. The question is,how can i make it print fast and continously? Is there somekind of a special command to send to the label printer while printing?Any info on this would be greatly appreciated and thank you for your time and expertise.

I have a database which will be printing out labels for SMALL test tubes (1/4" high). We have yet to find a reasonably-priced printer (labelwriter) which can effectively print this on ROLLS of labels....due to slippage, soon you have the printout missing the label. So we are thinking that we have to use sheets of labels. HOWEVER, one job may need 15 labels, another may need 8, etc. Does anyone have a solution for how to set this up in...

I am converting an old application that was printing directly to a specialized printer device (i.e. a special label printer). It was doing this by opening a file with the file path of 'LPT1:' and then using PRINT # to print directly to the printer device. Obviously, this is not going to work under VB.NET - StreamWriter won't let you open a device like LPT1: and such. I assume I am going to have to switch to the System.Drawing.Printing...

Hi, I'm trying to print barcodes to the Dymo LabelWriter printer. Put everytime I send a job to the label printer it just outputs an empty label. If I change the default printer back to the standard printer(HP LaserJet), it prints fine. Has anyone worked with Label printers like this. Here is the code I'm using: Private Sub cmdPrint_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles cmdPrint.Click try Dim BarCode...

Hi there, Our client has a requirement to print labels from the web site to a local printer. i.e. user logs onto web site and click a print button and the address is printed to a label printer connected to the user's computer. After much searching I think I've come to the conclusion that these are the only possible ways of doing this: 1. Javascript Window.print()

I have to print a Fedex shipping label on a Zebra(thermal) printer. I initially had the label information in a base64 string which I decoded into a memory stream. Now I need to send this memory stream to a thermal/label printer. How do I do this? Thanks for any help.

Issue 1. I'm currently writing an app that requires several different label sizes, although in most cases only one size will be used. I want my app to tell the printer driver what size of label it should expect. I've tried... Dim prndoc As System.Drawing.Printing.PrintDocument = New System.Drawing.Printing.PrintDocument prndoc.PrinterSettings.PrinterName = prn prndoc.PrinterSettings.DefaultPageSettings.Landscape = False

Our application has used this PrintersClass module for some time without a problem but some new Toughbooks have caused problems. We use laser printers, usually the default choice, and some label printers. The label printers use the Seagull Scientific print drivers. The new notebooks will not print to the selected label printers even though the default printer for the report comes up in the dialog box as the selected printer. Even if you...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
