Display Jpegs Access 2000

Ian
I have an Access 2000 database in which I display many pictures on
reports, the pictures are not embedded, the database just stores the
path to where the pictures are stored. When I select Gifs, Tifs, BMP etc
the pictures appear on the forms and reports. However when I select .JPG
format they don’t appear, no error message simply a white square where
the picture should be. I have used this database for several years on a
different PC without a problem but when I switched to a new PC the
problem started.

I thought it might be an Access Reference problem but all references and
present and correct. JPG files are associated with Microsoft Photo
Editor on both PC’s.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I posted this under 'microsoft.public.sqlserver.client' but got no reply. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated --------------------- I developed a database under SQL Server 2000, with Access 2000 on Windows 2000 as client. This had been running fine for several years. The client is now upgrading to Windows XP, and has come across a display problem on the reports. The figures are correct but are now displayed with lots of...

I am trying to display images from an Access 2000 database and I get an error "Invalid Parameter Used" when I execute the code line "picBLOB.Image = Image.FromStream(stmBLOBData)" in my Visual Basic .Net application. I have researched MSDN for help and found the example article 321900 (see below) and set up a test and everything works fine when I use SQL Server 2000 but when I modify the code and use data from Access 2000 using an...

Hello, Please forgive my reposting of this note with hopefully a more relevant subject line. On an Access 2000 form under Windows 2000 I would like to use a Kodak Image Edit Control to display the contents of a TIFF image file. According to the very limited documentation that I have been able to locate so far, all I should need to do is to drop the Image Edit Control onto the form in design mode, set the control's Image property to...

Hello, I tried to display a column in MS Access 2000 nwind.mdb using 3 data controls. But I got "It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data." I put ole DataAdapter, Connection and dataset controls and fill in the properties of the listbox. The only code I have is OleDbDataAdapter1.Fill(DataSet11, "employees") in page_load sub.

I am trying to figure out why so little web development in Python uses Flash as a display technology. It seems most Python applications choose HTML/CSS/JS as the display technology, yet Flash is a far more powerful and elegant display technology. On the other hand, HTML/JS seems clunky and antiquated. I am a gardener, and not a coder by trade, but Flash seems to integrate just fine with Python. Anyways, what are the technical reasons...

I have a form that is coded to open a File Dialog boc to pick a picture to display on that particular item on a subform. My form is not based on query, but rather two separate tables (one primary, one sub). That code is working properly. How do I get that to translate to my report? I use VBA code because I use formats other than BMP for the pictures. Would basing the form on the qury that the report is based on solve the issue without...

If someone could take pity and help me out with this before I drive myself completely nuts, then I would really appreciate it. Here's what I'm trying to do: I have an Access 2003 database containing a table which (amongst other things) holds the filenames of numerous jpeg images stored in an external folder. O/S is Windows XP Pro. btw. I also have a vb.net 2008 form connected to the database. That part works fine, all the fields show up...

The following test page is intended to allow the user to choose an image file, and then display it. It works as expected in Safari 3.1.1, FF 2.0.0.14 (Mac), and IE7 (XP). But, it fails in FF 2.0.0.14 (Win-XP) - the image doesn't appear. The error console shows no errors and Page Info, under the media tab, shows no loaded image (in contrast to FF Mac which shows the image). The images I select are all jpegs, btw.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
