I would like to know if the following is possible:
I have a form and a subform. In the subform, there are records
summarized. (For ex, instead of showing all 19 fields, I only show 3 to
save space.)
I would like the user to be able to select a record in the subform
datasheet, and click a button, or double click, to bring up the ENTIRE
record. (I would have a separate form created for this).

Hi Gurus
I have a very simple question this time.
I have a continuous form with a textbox (ID number) and a label. The label
has a on_click event: msgbox me.id.value
If I click on the label then I get a message : 1
Now, Imagine I have the cursor on ID = 1 (the first record), then I scroll

I might not have phrased the question correctly in the Subject of this
post. Please read the entire explanation.
I have a form with a command button (Add New Person). This button opens
up another form (frmPeople) with a NewRecord (blank fields). The
frmPeople form has a command button to save the record. I call this
scenario ADD Mode. When the record is saved we stay in ADD Mode and get
another NewRecord.
This form (frmPeople)...

Hello, I just wanted to suggest this as an idea and get feedback if it
is a lame. I had a simple challenge. In my app a client can upload a
file and it took a while and I wanted to indicate to the client that
something was happening. Not a true indicaition of status but just a
..gif letting the client know that "Something" was happening and also
remove the Submit button they just clicked so they wouldn't keep
clicking etc.
I saw several...

I am facing problems while trying to export data into
pipe format. In fact I am fetching records from mysql database and then
trying to create a text file ( using pipe as delimeter) , intending to
open in Excel.
The data is been inserted from textarea fields, where the
user can write text and may press enter key to format his text
accordingly. Now when the data entered into the database it keeps some

Hi, I have this very nice link tracker script that works a treat.
The only thing is it doesnt restrict repeat clicking.
Is there a simple method to add a cookie feature to this so that people cannot vote twice. I prefer cookies over ip recording. Any pointers would be a great help.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
