Link access reports with vb.net app

Is there any way to show an existing access database (.mdb) report inside a
vb.net application?

Any/all pointers much appreciated.

Inside? As in "display an Access report as a portion of my vb.net

reports run in their own window.
You can invoke an Access report using Automation.
You can convert (or redesign) a report to a Reporting Services report,
and that one can be shown in its own control on your form.

Hello -- I am using Enterprise Architect, a UML modeling tool, which is built on a pre-Access 2000 mdb. The database describing the model has the extension ".eap". I want to build some queries, reports, etc., on this model and want to store them in a separate mdb. Is there a way to link to objects in an Access database that has a non-"mdb"

I'm having a problem with some .DBF tables and Access 2002. When I try to link them as external data, Access reports "External table is not in expected format", help says the table has changed since it was last changed, but it is being linked for the first time???? I can open these tables in Excel and Lotus Approach and the name complies to 8:3. I believe the application which created these tables was possibly a foxpro one. Please...

I created an OLE type field in the table to store either the embedded photo or a link to the photo (I'll decide which method to use,

Hi, Sorry to repost, but this is becoming aggravating, and causing me a lot of wasted time. I've got a reasonably large mixed C++ project, and after a number of builds (but not a constant number) linking (and sometimes compiling) becomes immensely slow, and task manager shows that link.exe (or cl.exe) is barely using any processor time, but an awful lot of RAM (around 150-200MB). I'm going to keep an eye on page faults since I can't...

I've got some VB.NET code that *should* get a list of reports from an Access MDB and populate a list box with them. It doesn't detect any of the reports at all. oAccess.Reports.Count comes up as 0. There are four reports in the MDB. They are not hidden. They don't have special characters in their names. There is no security on the MDB and no one else is accessing it. I have code currently to only show reports that start with "rpt_",...

Hi Guys: I was stuck. I needed to send a report to a file. My beautiful report(s) in Access were going to require loss of formatting with RTFs, a PITA in WordMailMerge, sending it as a text file...whatever. I described my situation to the guy I'm doing work for and he did some research for me and came up with the following link. http://www.novapdf.com/ The part that should excite us Access developers is their SDK

I'm utilizing a database that I created within MS Access within a program I've created in VB.NET. I am using the VB front end to navigate the information, but want to be able to print a report, that I've also created within MS Access. I've attempted using the Access.Application instance, but I get errors when it tries to load the database. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this, and what I should do. Thanks for any...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
