Exporting a access report to Excel spreadsheet

I used to export my reports as snapshot but now I have to export them
to Excel
When I export my report to a Excel Spreadsheet the report header and
footer are not included
Only the data gets exported.
How do I format a Access report for Excel the right way?

Design a query that returns the data you want and TransferSpreads heet
that query.

It appears that when you export to Excel, CSV, etc you won't be able
to export header / footer information.

I know this is not very elegant: You can export a report to RTF and
then copy the content and paste it on an excel spreadsheet; this would
give you roughly what you are asking for.

But I imagine the reason you would like this in excel is to perform
data analysis on the spreadsheet - if this is the case then the
footers at the end of each page will not allow you to do filtering of
the data properly.

Perhaps and idea would be to provide a report in RTF format and then
embed the excel version on the RTF format so that the recipients of
the report could (a) look at a nicely formatted report and (b) click
on the embedded excel file to perform data anlysis.

Hi all, I've seen this noted in many posts, but nothing I've checked out gives me any clue on how to do this. Basically as my topic says, I have a DTS and I simply need to export some data from a table in MS SQL 2000 to an Excel spreadsheet. I also need to automate this process so it can run nightly and each new day a new spreadsheet will be on a network share for us to pick-up.

I've created a report with many subreports of aggregate data. I want my client to be able to export this data to Excel to make her charts, etc. Only one problem: one of the fields is a "SchoolYear" TEXT field that contains data such as 2000/01, 2001/02, etc. If I export a Query with this kind of data to Excel, it gives me the text value of this field; however, when I export a Report bound to this TEXT field, Excel gives me the values 36526,...

Is there anyway of colour coding values in a report for given criteria and then exporting this formating into an Excel spreadsheet. What I have is a table full of details that are being changed daily. I have a report to list these changes to give to a customer on a monthly basis but as there are 500+ changes per month, this is somewhat cumbersome. What I was planning to do, was to have certain fields that have change in a given month...

I am quite new to VBA and Access, but I am trying to figure out how to export specific values from a table in Access, so I can save it in a given cell in Excel. I have been able to figure out how to open and modify cells in my spreadsheet, but I don't understand how to select elements of the Access table to export it to Excel. Here is what I have so far: Dim xlApp As Object Dim wkbk As Object Dim Sheet As Object, Cell As Object

I have an Access report that is created on the fly by the user selecting the fields to be included. The Access report comes out fine, but I want it to automatically output to an Excel spreadsheet. Again, I have this part working. But the fields in the resulting spreadsheet are in a different order than the Access report. (Example: The fields in the Access report might go FirstName, LastName,Address,City--in the Excel spreadsheet, they come up...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
