Access Report - blank area in page 1 before countinue to page2

1 New Member
please help

i have a problem in the ms access reporting,
my report have: page header, detail, page footer and report footer
In listing "detail section", the number of line is depend on the data source
I mean long or short in detail section is vary.

The problem is, when the detail is more than 25 line
it will give blank area below the 25th line in page 1, and page 2 continue with report footer.
This blank area in page is cause by space of page 1 is not enough to accept the report footer.
and thats why the report countinue to next page (page2).

if the detail only contain 10 row detail, the room for report footer is enough
and this report will produce in 1 page only

My question is
is there any other way to solve this, i mean how to solve that blank area in continues report ...?
if there is no way, I plan to write some message in those blank area in page 1
"continue to page 2", but how to begin write this script...?

Thanks very much

I guess the blank area is just too small to show the report footer.
By making the detail section as narrow as possible you might get some more lines on your report.
Another option would be to add a Group and the GroupFooter to displat the totals.
This can be activated by pressing the [= looking button and requires a GroupLevel field. Then the Report footer can be dropped and for a GroupLevel there are properties to keep them together.

How do I prevent blank data from being entered into a table? For instance, the user fills out a form, but if a field is left blank, then the entire entry won't be filled in. This isn't necessarily a form validation thing, just that if all the fields are filled, then proceed to enter data, if not then don't. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I am using Access 2000 to print out an address book. I have designed the report based on a database whose first record is not blank. In the design there is a one line report header, a onle line page header, three lines of detail (name address etc)and a footer. On previewing or printing the report it inserts a blank three line detail section before the first record. Every other page is fine except this first page. Not a big deal but it...

Access 2000 I am trying to print a report that only some of the records have pictures. When the report prints, I do not want a blank image control showing on the report. This project is a test bank of questions allowing the user to create an exam by choosing the questions. Some of the questions have pictures for reference and some don't. I have chosen to keep the images in another folder with a test field (QPic) that contains the...

I have a report that groups data on an Area, the report is set to force a new page for each Area within the report. Each Area will have 1 or more pages. Is it possible to make the page numbering start at page 1 for each Area within the report. I know I could achieve this by printing each Area individually but I'd like to print them all in one go.

I have created a Crystal Report with five subreports to represent datagrids on our dataentry application. The largest datagrid is the last item on the report. When empty this last subreport will print on page one of the report about halfway down the page. The problem is when this subreport has more than 50 rows it grows off the page. Not a problem as it will print all the pages necessary for this subreport but it starts the report on...

X-No-Archive:yes I have a report that when I view it gives me a blank page after a page with data. For example in the footer, it says I have 2 pages (page 1 of 2), yet when I use the arrow key there are actually 4. The first one has the data, and the next one is a blank page, and the page after has data and the next one is blank. I have everything set to can grow and shrink.

I'm trying to fix a glitch in a complex access database, and have a fairly complex problem... unless there's some obscure easy fix I don't know being fairly new with Access. Basically, the area I'm trying to fix includes a form which takes entered data, concatenates it into a VB string to form an SQL query, then launches a report with information from the query. Several tables are linked in the query, but the key ones for this problem...

I have an Access 2007 problem and I would just like to know if there is some sort of solution out there. The problem is, when I build a report that will 99% of the time be one page or less maybe even a half page. I end up with a giant space in the middle of my report. I want to fill that space with empty records but the records must only be enough to fill the page and still leave the report foot at the bottom of the last page. Those...

have a report that I wish to add 10 blank fields to the end of the sub report. The blank fields will be used for updating or adding of records on a paper form to be turned in to be updated in the Access07 data base. I have created a record from “labels” and added them to the footer area of the report but they do not print. Also I have tried a similar method with “Rectangles”. This way dose print them, but with a large gap between the sup...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
