Hi,
I've recently upgraded from Access 97 to Access 2002 & the performance
basically stinks. I have tried the following items listed below but it
has only had a minor impact:
1) Upgraded Jet 4 to Service Pack 7
2) Set Subdatasheet Name to from
3) Shortened the file name of the .MDB file
4) Made sure the Track name AutoCorrect info is off

Hello -
we have been using access 97 for a multiple user trading system at a
small bank. Typically around 10 users entered a total of hundred
trades everyday. Some of the data was shared with a MS SQL 2000
server, which we accessed (both for read and write) as a linked ODBC
table. Over the period of time, the system has become quite complex,
with 30 tables, 30 forms and a size of 140 M.

I have a strange situation using Access to automate a Word mail merge. Using
Access 2000 and Word 2000, the code opens Word, opens the document in Word,
sets a table
in the calling Access application as the data source, and then performs a
merge. Everything works fine.
However, when a user uses it in Access 2002 and Word 2002, an extra instance
of the Access application is opened and remains open at the end. Sometimes

I have a VB windows forms application that accesses a Microsoft Access

in utilizing this new deployment method is to reduce the maintenance

We are having a problem with Access 2002 as opposed to Access 2000.
A multi-file query was set up under 2000 and tested good. Access is
connected through a link to an Oracle 9.1 database. The database
(mdb) was installed in
remote client machines working with Access2000 and it worked fine.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
