Hi people,
I know that the question has come around sometimes:
How to open an Access Report using ASP and export it to for example
RTF.
I'm trying to implement the first method of David Cline:

I will try to be as descriptive as possible, but this error has me
stumped and I am not sure what relevant info to include....
I am running Access XP on a Windows XP machine. I initially began
developing an app in Access 2000 but converted it several months ago
to XP. So the app is now Access XP format also.
My app is crashing on a regular basis, with the totally non-descript
Microsoft error (Microsoft Access has encountered a...

I have a report where one field tends to be rather lengthly and ends
up being several lines long while another field has several short
entries. The problem I have is that the first of the short entries is
aligned with the record's other entries, but subsequent entries are
listed below the first record.
Does anyone know how I can get rid of the annoying gap between the
first and second entry for that one field?

Hi Guys: I was stuck. I needed to send a report to a file. My
beautiful report(s) in Access were going to require loss of formatting
with RTFs, a PITA in WordMailMerge, sending it as a text file...whatever.
I described my situation to the guy I'm doing work for and he did some
research for me and came up with the following link.

I am at best a part time developer of Access databases. I use Access
2.0, as this is all my employer has on its computers. Even so, to use
this ancient version requires a fairly convoluted installation
procedure on each PC on which it is used. I am self-taught from the
help files that come with Access 2.0 and from painful experience. I've
never attended any type of training course on how to develop databases
in Access.
I have no idea...

Hello,
Is it possible to step through the "Create MDE" process and see what is
causing Access to crash?
I tried, unsuccessfully, many times to create an MDE from my database.
But, randomly, I checked the "Allow Full Menus" in the Startup section.
I was then able to create an MDE.
That worked once. It has not worked since and I don't particularly

We have a fairly good sized Access database that contains some info on
the children our agency sees. We also have 40+ templates that require
some info from the database be inputted into them, such as the name of
the child, their address, etc. At this time staff will look into the
database for that info and enter it into the form. Management wants to
automate this a bit so each of these templates is a report. That leads
to my question.

I have created a 4 Reports using the Reports Wizard in Access 2003 and
the text in a memo field is being cut off. This is an inconsistent
issue being that it is affecting just one of the reports. The field on
the report is set to Can Grow as is the Header. The total text if 697
characters. I have read the following articles and found that they do
not pertain to my issue:

I posted a few days ago that it seems to me that the Access 2007 rich text
feature does not support: a) full text justification; b) programmatic
manipulation.
I was hoping that someone might know one way or the other whether that was
true or not, or could point me to an article or help text that would. What I
have seen so far online and in Access 2007 help seems to confirm the above.
But that (or at least (b)) seems incredible that it...

I have a DB that I developed on access XP (2002) and deployed over a
year ago. No one has had problems printing any of the reports within
the DB until we started loading 2007 on new computers. The access
2007 users cannot print one of the reports. This is maddening since I
cannot duplicate the issue on any computer that runs 2003 or below.
Is there something going on that I'm not seeing? Does anyone have any
suggestions at all on...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
