I'm trying to write some code that will convert any of the most popular
standard date formats twice in to something like "dd Mmm yyyy" (i.e. 08 Jan
1908) and compare the first with the second and calculate days, months, and
years. This is not for a college course. It's for my own personal
genealogy website. I'm stumped about the code. I'm working on it but not
making much progress. Is there any free code available anywhere? I know it...

I basically wanted something that would do a count of the dates, then
group them by their week name..
BEFORE:
Resource Date Total number of times that date Appeared
(Count)
4/3/03 4
4/4/03 2 (note 4/4/03 showed up twice)
4/9/03 1

Please, any help is GREATLY appreciated. I need to have SQL Server 2000
Check a field (EffectiveDate) to make sure the date is any date in the
future past today. I've gotten as far as the 'Manage Constraints' Part
in SQL Server 2000 and entered in ( <= getdate())
But I really don't know what the syntax is or what you have to do to
get this going.. I can't find anything on the web about it either :\

Say you have two dates, 2005-01-01 and 2005-01-24. I want to get a list or
array or all the date between and including those two dates.
I want to include this list in a query so I need it in a format like:
'2005-01-01', '2005-01-02',...
Any ideas? thanks

Dear all,
Is there any DB2 SQL statement that could generate rows of intermediate
dates by providing the start and end dates??
If 2006-1-1 and 2006-1-31 are provided to the SQL, the output will look
like :
2006-1-1
2006-1-2

I am trying to calculate the number of workdays between two dates with
regards to holidays as well. I have used Arvin Meyer's code on the Access
Web, but as I am in Australia and my date format is dd/mm/yyyy, I have found
that the dates I put in my holidays table are reversed into American dates.
So, the wrong holiday dates are subtracted from the total workdays between
the start and end dates. Is there an easy fix for this?

My dbase has the start date and end date of each visit. How can I ask
Access to list the day of the week of the start (easy), end (easy) and,
more importantly, the dates of the visit itself - ie list the dates
between the start and end date. Basically I am doing a day of the week
analysis and need to know which day of the week is busiest.

I have to create a summary report that will provide counts and # average of days for multiple "Status" by entering different dates for every criteria. I have created several queries that calculates the number of days and the counts. I have created the corresponding report to show the sum and verages. But I don't know how to make them print on a main report that will display the information of multiple status since I have to enter multiple...

I have two questions:
1) Say I have a form bound to a table. Assume the user is entering
data into a new record at the bottom of the form. Now, suppose the
user clicks a button on the form while he's still entering data and
hasn't yet saved the record that he is modifying. How can the
button's click event procedure test to know that the user is in the
middle of entering new data? I've tried testing against the form's
recordset's...

Having trouble with inserting a record into a table. It's a list of names.
But, for some reason, it won't take a particular name. When a user tries to
enter a name into the table, the system hangs (users are using Access 2000
via ODBC linked table).
I went into QA (SQL 7) and tried an Insert Into statement, but I got the
same result from QA: the system just hung. No error message. After 5
minutes, the query was still trying to execute.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
