database distribution

I created databases in Access 97 several years ago & used Access 97
Professional Edition to generate the installation disk, which includes many
accessory files for users that don't have Access on their pc. Trying to determine
what is necessary to do this with Access 2002.
Thanks

I think you may need Microsoft Office 2000 Developer which includes various Tools on the CD-ROM that enable you to distribute copies of your custom Microsoft Access applications to all your users, whether or not they have Access installed on their computers.

Hi John

As ADezii says Access Runtime is now a separate application available with the developer software.

Hi all, Is it possible to move the distribution database to a new folder/drive without removing replication? I am attempting to do it the same way you would move tempdb: ALTER DATABASE distribution MODIFY FILE (name = distmodel, filename = 'C:\DISTMOVED\distribution.MDF') ALTER DATABASE distribution MODIFY FILE (name = distmodel_log, filename = 'C:\DISTMOVED\distribution.LDF')

I want to construct a simple flat file, non-relational database within my windows application. It would be a simple table with fields contained in a separate file which accompanies the distribution. It needs to be searchable. I don't want to use MS Access or MSDE (SQL Server) in this application for a few reasons. 1. It does not need to be relational. 2. The search will be restricted to a single field of data, the results of which will set...

I have a PHP program that almost works. I'm running it from the command line and simulating a form using a GET method. That part is working, but I get spurious records with all of the fields concatenated into a single field. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> <html> <head> <meta content="text/html; charset=windows-1252" http-equiv="content-type">

I use this line DoCmd.SelectObject acTable, "tblAdmin", True when I want to display database window. Often- times, working on a remote mde via a TCP/IP connection, its convenient to have a look at at the database window, open tables, make changes.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
