I can't imagine I'm the first to experience this, but Google searches in all
access newsgroups have produced nothing.
Access 2003/WinXP
After creating an MDE for my app, not only are there no scrollbars for the
MDI (main Access "container" window), there are also no scrollbars for the
forms I've created - even though I've set scrollbars to "Both" in each
form's property window. When opening the MDB, regardless of screen
resolution, the scrollbars are there, but not so for the MDE.
I know I messed up by not designing my forms on the lowest screen
resolution, and will pay my price either by writing resizing code or going
back and redesigning the forms. But I was hoping someone could shed some
light on the MDE/MDB scrollbar behavior - if not for my benefit, then for
the next poor sap who spends hours Googling for an answer! 2 2225
I have 2003 MDE's and have not had that scroll bar problem. Try creating a
small test mdb/mde and see if the problem is persistent or only with that
one app. If all else fails: http://www.peterssoftware.com has an affordable
and fairly easy to implement form/control sizing add-in tool.

I can't help you exactly on this as I don't remember what the remedy
was, but I definitely encountered exactly this before with A2003. I
seem to recall it was in subforms that I encountered this.
Other than a suggestion to shut off and restart the computer and
decompile properly (read David Fenton's instructions on decompile here http://tinyurl.com/yohdls ), I'm afraid can't offer anything except to
let you know it's happened to at least one other person.

Hi,
(also posted in netscape.public.mozilla.browser)
i use netscape 7 and want to hide the scrollbars of the window when
something happens. I tried this:
window.scrollbars.visible=false
window.scrollbars.visibility="no"
....
nothing works
Is it also possible only to hide the vertical scrollbar instead of both?

Okay, you are all so smart in here. Answer me this:
IE6 in standards mode doesn't seem to hide scrollbars on the body element
(overflow:hide) Ain't this a quandary. I have it in my head that I need to
specify html instead. The scrollbars do hide on Gecko browsers though, so
there is definitely a disagreement among browser developers on how to
implement scrollbars (as a side note, Gecko browsers with their notoriously
bug-ridden...

Hi
I have a page with CSS. The CSS validates at the W3C validator, and the page
works ok in Netscape 7 on Mac and PC and also on IE 6 on PC.
But on Internet Explorer 5.0 / Mac OS 9.2 the scrollbars disappear with the
second page loading. I made a test page and removed all the CSS; then the
scrollbars stay there. But if I remove any part of the CSS they go away. But
only when the page is called for the second time or the second page is...

I'm doing some custom drawing to a Panel object overriding the onPaint, and
the stuff I draw usually goes beyond the ClipRectangle of the panel's current
size- so I set autoscroll to true yet it never shows scrollbars. I also tried
putting my custom Panel inside of a regular Panel with Autoscroll true andf
it still does not work.
What can I do to make scrollbars appear? Is there a size setting I have to
change on my Panel so that it...

Hi all,
I have to problems concerning datagrids, tabcontrols and scrollbars:
1) I created a form with a TabControl. This TabControl has two TabPages: the
first with a datagrid to browse database records and the second with some
controls
(TextBoxes, OptionButtons...) to edit these records. When the second tab is
shown and I use the DataGrid's SetDataBind method, the grid scrollbars are
disabled.

Hello,
If these questions have been asked numerous times before, please excuse
me, I have not managed to find the information I needed.
I'm making a webpage (for now it will only be in two languages, English
and Hebrew), and noticed a few issues with scrollbars:
I divided the page in divs, with drop-down menus appearing in the
top-div: (quoting the relevant lines from the css file)
html,body {background-color: #000008; color:red;...

I've come across a strange problem I can't seem to solve.
Every now and then the scrollbars in IE for http://www.websaid.be/
disappear. Most of the time the problem can be reproduced by following a
link on the page and then returning to the home page by clicking on the
arrows in the top left corner: suddenly the vertical scrollbar
disappears (although there is content outside the viewport) only to
reappear when hovering over the menu at...

I have a listview control that I want the columns of to remain a
proportional size filling the listview completely. In the listview's
Resize method, I calculate the new sizes and all looks fine.
Sometimes, but not always though, scrollbars appear. The scroll bar
has nowhere to scroll (because the columns fit the listview's size
perfectly), and if you click on the scrollbars, they disappear. Anyone
know what's causing the bars to appear...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
