Hi,
I want to have a Search Dialog box that has several text box and
fields to build a search and display the results in a form. I can do
everything that I need to if I us a report but I would like to have
the search from data displayed in a form.
The structure that I have for this was take from the Asset Manger from

I can't quite grasp the concept of creating custom reports depending
upon what options a user picks on a Form. For example, the user
clicks on a "Print Reports" button and a Form pops up. On the Form
the user can choose to get a report that shows the Box Numbers that
are at Warehouse A, Warehouse B or Warehouse C. and then click on the
Print Preview button and get a report showing only the Box Numbers in
whichever warehouse was...

On my report I want to have an opening balance signifying all transactions

and detailed transactions for the month selected
and then a closing blance.

Hello All
I have designed a dotnet application using VB which basically takes a
selection and passes value to a crystal report which in turn passes the
value to a Stored procedure. After the report gets generated it is PDF'ed -
all this is done thru a single click in my program.
Now the catch here is that through the program all these tasks of generating
the report and PDF'ing 1400 records (about 25 pages) takes 15 minutes.

I was inspired by the recent discussion of returning multiple recordsets to
ADO from a stored procedure. (Amazed is probably more accurate). I asked
about how to accomplish same with Oracle and got a nudge in the right
direction from Mr. Kreft. I promised to provide details once working, so

end users. My key focus is on selection criteria. I am very happy with
the Access report writer capabilities. As far as development of
reports, it is certainly fine in my book.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
