Could you please help me with some reasearch? I have a client that is
using MS Access 2000 and hitting it through the Jet Engine version 4.0
with SP8. Does anyone know of a utility we can use to collect/track
information on Access/Jet activity. I'd settle for just about any
information about what's going on inside Access. :)

Most of my Access database implementations have been fairly small in
terms of data volume and number of concurrent users. So far I haven't
had performance issues to worry about. <knock on wood>
But I am curious about what techniques those of you who have done higher
volume access implementations use to ensure high performance of the
database in a multi-user 100mbps LAN implementation???

Some more, rather specific Access performance questions. IN a split
front-end & back-end Access/Jet ONLY LAN situation, and with all query
criteria fields and join fields indexed:
1. Is is good form to have a single query with base table with criteria
joined to a related table - all in one query? Or should I do a
two-step, first query does selection of main table and then join with
other table?

I've been clicking around Access 2007 Beta 2 and can't see the custom
menu bar designer. Is it in the beta? Maybe I'm blind. The question
that comes to mind is: Will custom menu bars be the same height as they
were in previous versions or will they be the "ribbon" style that takes
up a huge portion of the screen?
Also when I use Access 2007 to open an Access 2003 database that has
custom menu bars they display as they did in Access...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
