Just a general question...
I'm currently using a combobox that when updated, opens a form with
its recordset based on a query using the combo box value as the
criteria.
I'm I correct in thinking that using:
docmd.openfrm "frmName",,,where "=" & cboSelectID
will open all records and then just navigate to that filtered record,
which is not as fast/efficient as using a query where the criteria is

Hi all,
At work I created a database which is really helpful. The database is used
by approx 15 users. Everything worked great, until I added some
'scoreboard' forms and reports. I get the "Cannot open any more databases"
error.
The 'scoreboard' form show a matrix of 6 columns, 7 rows. Each cell is
calculated separate by (what I call complex) queries.

I presume that using an open recordset method is the preferred method
of accomplishing what I'm trying to do. Of course, if there are other
options that would work, feel free to share them.
I need to provide a means of scanning one field for all records and to
trigger a message upon opening the form for alerting a user that
maintenance activities need to be promptly performed. The recordset

I have a form that has two sub forms.
I would like to use the current value of one of the subform fields as a
search parameter in a query.
I tried pointing to the name of the form/field within the query, but it
didn't use the current field value as the search criteria......I get
the pop up Dialog that says "Enter Parameter Value"......
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Simple version of the question.....
How do I use the where clause of the open form command to show an
account with a matching ID to be displayed when the form is opened?
Eg. I select a record on a continuous form and click and edit button.
The button runs the open form code. I want the APPID of the current
record on the continous form to match the APPID of the record viewed

When a user clicks OK on form "SelectDefaults," I want to open form "Welcome" if the results of query "qry_todo_overdue" = 0 or form "OverdueToDo" if the results >= 1. First, I assume that I need to run the query in "SelectDefault's" OnOpen event, right? But having done that, I'm not sure how to incorporate the query-checking into an If...Then statement on the OK button's OnClick event.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
