Problem with Query with a relationship... ..Please help

2 New Member
I have a database with two tables I use for shipping information. One is for if I'm only shipping one item and the other is for a back page of a report for when I ship multiple items. If I'm shipping multiple items, I put SEE REVERSE in the single item block and then enter the rest in a subform linked to the multiple item table. I'm trying to generate a report that lists all items shipped using a tracking number, but when I create a query, I don't get what I need. The two tables have a relationship by the ID number, but when I call the two tables in a query and try to leave out the SEE REVERSE, all the records from the multiple tables are left out to. I understand why this happens, but can't figure out how to fix it. Please Help......Thank You.

I'll need to see the structure of the tables involved with the tablenames, relevant field names and relationship to help. It might also be useful to post the existing query and explain the results you are getting and the results you want.

I have an Access 2000 MDB file with a SQL 7 back end. I have a main table with 50,000 records; and I have a selections table with 50,000 records for each machine that uses the database (about 25-50). This allows each user to have their own set of selections. The selections table has three fields: ID (int), Sel (bit), MachName (varchar). ID and MachName comprise the primary key. I have a view that combines the main table and the entries...

I have found similar problems to mine on this and other newsgroups but I still haven't been able to solve my problem... I have two tables 'Pupil' and 'SEN' which are related on a field called 'UPN' (unique pupil number). I have a form which is bound to a query that is drawn from both of these tables and contains Pupil.UPN but not SEN.UPN aswell. When I update the form I get the error 'The field SEN.UPN cannot contain a

Hi: As those who have looked at this newsgroup recently will realize, I am a neophyte with Access, although I have experienced with Approach (the Lotus product). There are things I could easily do in Approach that appear to require some subtle and complex manipulation in Access. Herein lies my present problem. I have a number of tables, including one called "tblPO", which contains purchase orders. Some of the details of these change...

I have a production table and its accompanying form. There can be up to ten ingredients in what is produced. The ingredients are obtained from the incoming goods table which supplies the two parameters that I use, "Name" and "CatlogNo". This production table needs to contain each ingredient by name and catalogue number. With help from this list I was able to set up a combo box that allowed me to select a particular ingredient, and when...

I am trying to design a query that works with a relationship between a Table and a Query. I am comparing a value in the table with a computed value inside the query. The reason for this is that the Query calculates a field to become identical to the corresponding table field, for instance: Table 1 contains field "ID", which is WV008A00 Table 2 contains field "ID In", which is WV001000

Ok...I'll first describe briefly what I've done. Working from a paper form with over 200 fields - broken into 10 areas, I created a database with 10 tables. I then created a form using those 10 tables, created queries and then reports based on those queries. All works well until.... you complete a form and DO NOT fill one or more sections (in other words not filling in an underlying table, then everything falls apart. Example tables:

I have a test network consisting of four servers running windows 2003 server R2 SP2. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
