I am using the following code (created by the wizard) to
allow to bring my form to a particular entery. But when I
edit the entery (ex: put new information into a blank
cell), it puts that record onto the bottom of the list
(even though it keeps its record number).
Also, There are certin names that i click on the list, and
it will not bring it up, rather it brings to the first
record (no matter how many times i try going to that...

I have a button on "Form A" in the right margin of every record in my
recordset. When you click on a button, a dialog box ("Form B") pops
up that gives more details about that particular record.
The problem is that when I close the dialog, the cursor jumps to the
beginning of the recordset on "Form A". I want it to go back to the
record where I pressed the button.
What's the best way to set the focus to a particular record when...

First issue:
When using ADPs you no longer have the ability to issue a me.refresh to
save the current record on a form (the me.refresh does a requery in an
ADP).
We usually do this before calling up another form or report that uses
some of the same data.
We came up with a work around that saves the current record's ID, does a

Main Form/SubForm
When I requery or recalc my parent form after I updated a record in my
subform, I lose the focus of that particular record in my subform.
Instead, the first record is selected.
How can I avoid this?

Looking for some expert help here.
Caveat: I do not know SQL, and I've built a database basically by trial and
error (unfortunately, I don't have much time to learn Access as I would
want).
My basic database form is for patients, and I store their info in the
database and link to videos of surgery, etc. I made a switchboard, a few
queries, and a few reports that I can use to look at categories, etc.
However, instead of run a report or...

I have created custom navigation buttons and Record Number indicators on several forms that are used to review and update records based on a query.
My On Current event to update the "Record X of Y" is
Private Sub Form_Current()
Dim frm As Form, LastRec As Long
Set frm = Forms!ReviewSearchRecordsForm

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
