showing calculated totals when detail section is invisible

SV
Hi

I open a report with the possibility to show the details or not. Everything
works well as long as the detail section is shown. If I make the detail section
invisible I have no longer any running sums. All (sub)totals show zero as sum.
Is there any possibilitiy to calculate these running sums even with the detail
section invisible ?

Thanks in advance...

I have a report in which each record is about work booked to be done by my company for a client. Each day of work is represented by one record. The report is grouped by CLIENT -- so each page has a group header with the client's info, and under that a detail of work done or to be done within the date range specified when opening the report. The CLIENT Group footer has totals and other calulated fields...each page is that particular...

I have a report based on a crosstab query that shows monthly automobile sales. The report is grouped on Make so that it shows the models under each Make. I want to now get the subtotals by Make and then the total for all for each month. I find that the control source for the textboxes in the detail section have a date value such as Jan_03 rather than dollars but when I run the report dollars appears in the report. Obviously I can't sum up...

I have a field in a report which is filled by a function. This is because I want the values displayed in a particular way. The field is filled with: strVal = Format(ValLow, "$#,###") & " / " & Format(ValHi, "$#,###") The difficulty lies when the concatenated string is too long to fit on one line and needs to therefore fit on two lines. The detail section is CanGrow and CanShrink, every field in the secton is CanGrow and CanShrink. ...

I have a table with a UPC#, CasesCompleted, TotalHours, standardGoal (pieces per hour) I am generating a report that groups by UPC and figures out production goals. In the Detail section of each UPC, I have a calculated field that looks like this: =sum()/sum()/() This gives me the percentage of production. Each UPC has a different standardGoal. My question is: How can I get an average goal in the Report Footer by

I have an Access program that displays Customer data into a form and OrderID data into a subform. The totals in the Subform are based on calculated fields, i.e. the Total Amount field Calculates the following: =* The Subform Order fields are pulled from a Query along with each calculated Total. They are displyed in a DataSheet View. This works fine on my developement environment which includes a server set up just as our client has. ...

Hi folks, I'm looking for a little advice here. I need to create a report that is totals only, with no detail records. I have a database with a lot of individuals (people) and the report has to have some overall totals, totals per state, totals by gender, race/ethnicity, and several other criteria. This report does not need to (and should not) report on each individual, just the totals. I can create expressions for each of the items I...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
