Sorting a REPORT by a Calculated Field in group header

I have a report in which each record is about work booked to be done by my
company for a client. Each day of work is represented by one record.

The report is grouped by CLIENT -- so each page has a group header with the
client's info, and under that a detail of work done or to be done within the
date range specified when opening the report. The CLIENT Group footer has
totals and other calulated fields...each page is that particular clients
invoice for the spcified period.

On the group header I have a calculated control INVOICE DATE which is MIN
(DATE)...that is, it returns the earliest date within the detail.

In the sorting and grouping box, there is only the option to sort the
clients alphabetically. ..and what I REALLY want to do is sort them by
INVOICE DATE.

Hopefully someone can help me with this....

tblCourses one to many to tblEvents. A course may have an intro workshop (a type of event), a mid course workshop, a final exam. Or any combination. Or something different in the future. At the moment the printed output is usually going to Word. It's turning into an unholy mess, because I'm having to prepare umpteen different Word templates, and the queries that drive them, depending on what events a course has.

The situation is this: I have a "criteria selection form" in which there are a many different criteria, mostly displayed as combo and text boxes in which a user can enter stuff, click an associated button and that criteria becomes part of the where clause of a select statement. The selected criteria is stored on a hidden form and when the user is ready to run their report(s), a button action goes through the hidden form and...

I'm working on a report. I have two categories (groups) with a field labeled "Amount Funded." I want to create a subtotal column (for each group) that subtracts the "Amount Funded" from a number ($60,000.00 and $140,000 respectively), and a "grand available total" that subtracts the total "Amount Funded" from $200,000.00. How do I build that expression so that I have a running "funds available" subtotal for each category, a grand "funds...

Hi! I have an Access 97 report based on tables linked to an SQL back end. The report has 5 subreports in it (unfortunately unavoidable due to the nature of the report) and performance is quite slow. The query runs quickly and the report displays the first page in a short amount of time, but takes quite a while to format each page. This means it takes a long time to print the report (up to 50 mins to print around 360 pages!) as it...

Hi - I have looked at all posts and tried both Allen Browne's Report Sorting at run Time ( Select Case Forms!frmChooseSort!grpSort Case 1 'Name Me.GroupLevel(0).ControlSource = "LastName" Me.GroupLevel(1).ControlSource = "FirstName") ..... And another post that was OrderByOn = True and setting the sort Order.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
