OO refactoring trial
====================
Following is a simple trial structure of a refactoring (top-down to OO)
learning exercise I'm doing. Whether you call it a Factory pattern, COR
pattern, or some hinze 57, I don't know what class to use till run time and
I'm trying to avoid a lengthy "if" sequence, the test sequence is important,
and to avoid code duplication I'll be using code objects in the "doit"
methods.
You've already...

Hey,
I'm a student from Belgium, and on my stage we have to work with SQL
Reporting Services. One of the requirements is Visual Studio .net. So we
ordered the trail version a week ago and installed it on our computers (2).
Then we found out that Reporting Services didn't work on our OS. So we
installed it on a Windows 2003 server. One day later the guys from the IT
called our server back because they gave us the wrong laptop, the one we...

Are there any preferred methods on :
1. asking a user to register your app
2. giving them the ability to register online and creating a serial number
2. stop the apps usage after a set period of time if they don't register.
There used to be an application TrueLockXP that you could add to your
application but that application is not longer supported.
Does anyone know any other app that can do this or have any guidelines for
how to...

Good evening all,
I have written a single file program in Microsoft Visual Basic 2008
Express Edition that I need to build with a Trial Period.
I have built in a simple check the date procedure; but anyone can get
around that. Does anyone know how I can write back to the program file
so that the software self destructs or becomes unusable after a
particular date is reached even if the person sets the date back a month
or two? I...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
