Dear reader,
Some times I receive an error message by using the functions:
Left([FieldName...];2)
Mid([FieldName...];5;2)
Right([FieldName...];2)
It works on one PC and it can fail on the other one.
I can't find which library is required in the VBA references to ovoid the
error message for using these functions. The error message is "Undefined
function 'Mid' in expression".
Thanks in advance for any help.
Kind regards,
Simon
That PC has a missing reference.
Open any module in Design view (or click Ctrl + G).
On the Tools menu, click References.
Click to clear the check box for the type library or object library
marked as "Missing:."
An alternative to removing the reference is to restore the referenced
file to the path specified in the References dialog box. If the
referenced file is in a new location, clear the "Missing:" reference
and create a new reference to the file in its new folder.
See Microsoft KnowledgeBase articles:

Microsoft Access'
