I am trying to access the Word Objects from a .NET project.
I have some sample from
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/odc_vsto2003_ta/html/WordObject.asp
and I have MS Office 2003. However I don't know which file I need to
reference for the MS Word 11.0 Object Library.
Or what else do I need to install/download from MS to be able to create MS
Office 2003 Projects.

The Microsoft Access Product Group (the people who build Microsoft
Access) want your help!
One of the main things we're working on for the near future is a
conversion tool to take Microsoft Access 97 databases (primarily, but
also Microsoft Access 2000 or 2002/XP databases) up to Microsoft
Office Access 2003. For us to do this, we need sample databases from
*you*, our customers, to ensure a...

When I package my Microsoft Access 2002 application with the Office XP
Developer Packaging Wizard, and include the runtime, the resulting
OSP1.CAB file that is created does not contain the latest msjet40.dll
(SP8), but instead contains SP4. How can I upgrade the packaging
wizard to include the latest component service packs, such as msjet40
and MDAC?

I am interested in packaging a database that I have created and
understand I will need Microsoft Office Developer's Edition XP to allow
users that do not have Access to run it.
I have looked on the net and the prices range from $454 to $853.
I have a couple of questions:
1. Is there a MOD 2000?
2. If so where is a good place to buy?

Hello folks,
Would love yo get all informed opinions and/or facts on the following:
Over the last few weeks I have spent quite a bit of time reviewing all
the Access and .NET stuff I could find on Microsoft.com. It's seems
harder and harder to find much of anything about Access as a primary
development platform. I am getting the uneasy feeling that Microsoft
is slowly phasing out Access.

I wrote a simple App in Access 2003 but used the 2000 file format. The
one module Requires reference to Microsoft Office 11.0 Object Library.
However, the person I have the code to has Office 2003 but only
Microsoft Office 9.0 Object Library.
Are they not backward compatible? Is there something the user can do
to update this to Office 11?

Hi,
In my office I have Office 2003 on the PC. I created an Access
application which has a component reference to Microsoft Office 12.0
Object Library.
The problem that I am having now it that in my home PC I also have
Office 2003, but I only have Microsoft Office 11.0 Object Library in
it and not Microsoft Office 12.0 Object Library, so the application
does not work right.

Q1) I wanted to see if they were up-to-date on their service pack but
the "About Microsoft Office" menu item is missing when the run my app.
Is there a way to view the About form in the runtime version from the menu?
Q2) Also, do folks with a runtime version need the SP3 and hotfix?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
