I have an odd problem with my database, and was hoping someone could
point me at the problem.
We have an access database that is used by several people to input
data. Users have reported some of the records in their forms
(Datasheet view) are showing up as "#Deleted", though no one should be
deleting records from here. Further, the messages show up only on
certain users' screens.
Is this a result of corruption from having multiple...

Hi
I have a database that I use to keep track of the sales promotions that we
send to companies.
I normally send a mailing based on a subset of the companies in the database
(found using the query: QryICTMassDistribution3) , I then use a form and
the code below to create a new record in the corrispondence table to show
what corrispondence has been sent to various companies.

Hi
I have an application for my company's HR department where we store
resumes for candidates we receive. I have an application that uses
VB.Net and ADO.Net and data bindings (through code) to controls on a
Windows form. The question I have is that once the database grows and
contains a large number of records, I am worried the dataset is going
to create too much overhead when the user clicks "show all records"
(the full resume which...

I'm creating Address book.

This is the page where I collect the data in drop-down boxes with
values of 1-10 and send it to a submitted page to do calculations.
Example:
Employee1 TeamScore(1-10)
Employee2 TeamScore(1-10)
Employee3 TeamScore(1-10)
Employee4 TeamScore(1-10)
Then I submit this page with all the values in TeamScore for every
employee and I want to
perform a calculation based on the values in the drop-down and a

Hi All,
I have created a form and subform ( Assignee Outstanding Form ) to display records and related notes in a Helpdesk database table by the assignees respectively. Now, instead of clicking through hundreds of records by assignees in alphabetical order, I would like to use a pop-up form to be opened when the Assignee Outstanding Form is loaded - of which the data come from a query, so the records displayed in the Assignee Outstanding...

This is odd. I have a form that is related to a table that has 6 or 7 entries in it. When I launch the form it automatically goes to a new record. But it is showing 1 of 1 and I can't go to first or last or any other record. If I type in a bunch of new records I can navigate amongst the ones I've just entered but not the ones that existed before.
Allow Additions is set to yes, Data Entry is set to No, Allow Edits is set to Yes, basically all...

Hello,
I have MS Access form that basically allows the user to configure an update statement to a single table via the gui. A requirement is to show the count of records that will be updated prior to the actual update.
I'm planning on showing a message box with yes / no buttons that will basically show the selection and update criteria in a user friendly fashion, show the # of records that will be updated and ask if they are sure they want...

I'm having an odd issue and have no idea what could be causing it.
I am running a process that will take 25 records from a table and put them into an assignment table. When they records are in the assignment table, workers can go in the form and work on their 25 records (I hope this is making sense). When they're out of records, they'll be prompted to get 25 more.
That part works fine. The issue is that sometimes when they get new...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
