Can anyone help?
I query a database and return a result on the column "reference".
There might be 7 listings. Each row is displayed in a table, with
links through to a detail page. I am working on having a "previous"
record and a "next" record link on the detail page.
This code below works, for the "next" record, by searching the values
in the array $myarray for the variable $ref. It then returns the key
value and the key value, as a...

Hi I've written a module to find the first occurrence of a record in a
query (that is my forms datasource) that matches four specified
criteria. No matter what I try it doesn't seem to find records even
though they are in the recordset as you can navigate to them using the
forms navigation buttons.
weekending, weekday, ba (business area), projected
Here's the module can anyone spot where i'm going wrong? Any
suggestions would be...

I feel pretty lucky on my last SQL question.
I think I'll try one more...
If there is a table (tblCorrespondence) with a field in it named
and I am extracting a dynaset of records having an
value of "06"...

Lets say the query displays , , and
. And lets say that for every record in the table having an
value of "06", I would also like to know if there

Hello
What is the proper way in ASP.Net to not show large parts of the page?
For example, if I was showing a record detail page, if the record id
does not exist or they don't have rights to see it, I would just show an
error message and NOT show the rest of the html for the all the fields
in the record. And if possible still be able to use the designer to
place the labels and data, etc. In ASP I would do something like:
<%

Hello,
One of datagrid on my aspx page is not showing records on production
server while there are records in database table. I have tested that
page on my local machine and it is working fine. All other forms
(approx 40+) are working fine on production server.
That RuleDetail.aspx page has two user controls. The first user control
has a button. When I click button a C# event (delegate) is called which
calls a public method in second...

Hi!
I am able to add records to my SQL 2005 database using bound forms in my
Access application, but if I try to edit any records (not only the new
records I create) using the same bound forms, I receive a write conflict.
For the record, I am currently the only user of this application and my SQL
Server database has only one userID. I used this userID to create all of
the objects in the database and to connect to the database from...

Hi,
For a set of records, which I get by doing a SELECT on a database, I want to some computations. After doing those computations, I want data, based on those computations to be stored in another table in the database. I just can't figure out how to do this.
For example:
1. do the select (like selecting all male employees from the database)
2. insert those records into another table, with, if their date of birth is between 1/1/1970 and...

Hi. I'm stretching my boundaries in programming with a little python
shell-script which is going to loop through a list of domain names,
grab the whois record, parse it, and put the results into a csv.
I've got the results coming back fine, but since I have *no*
experience with python I'm wondering what would be the preferred
"pythonic" way of parsing the whois string into a csv record.
Tips/thoughts/examples more than welcome!

There's an old database system called "PICK" - still in use in
various forms such as 'OpenQM' - wherein you can SELECT or READ
directly into an array variable. For example :
"SELECT * FROM DemoTable TO ArrayVar"
- stuffs ArrayVar with every record in DemoTable in a format :
ArrayVar
ArrayVar

Hi guys,
I have a quick question which i have pondered for a little while. I'm not sure if its even a good idea (so maybe advice on whether or not to do it would be helpful as well).
I want to have my first datagridview to have a multi-select (which i have currently), but what i want to happen when multiple rows are selected is different. I have a sub datagridview which is using a relationship in a dataset which allows the two...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
