MSACCESS STARTUP

Hi All

I would like to know if anyone can help me with the following problem I
am experiencing. I have created a Splash Screen and when my application
starts up it first displays the MsAccess Splash Screen then the one I
created. How can I allow at startup that only the Splash screen I have
created shows.

Thanks

Mike

You should just be able to create a bmp image, place it in the same
directory as your database, and call it the same as your database, and
it *should* replace the MS Access splashscreen.
So if your database was called: MyDatabase.mdb
You would simply place your own splashscreen bitmap in the same
directory and call it: MyDatabase.bmp

....or, if you want to use your splash form to actually do something useful,
create a single pixel bmp and name it YourAppName.bmp where "YourAppNam e" is
the same as YourAppName.mdb and place it in the same directory as your app
front end.

....this will not be seen by the user and Access will go directly to your own
splash form.

From a windows .Net app, I need to 1) check if MSAccess is already open to a certain Access application. If so, then open a form and find a certain record. 2) If not open, then open MSAccess and open a secured Access application and then open a form and find a record. (The Access App is secured not with a database password but with full user name and password security.) I can open the form and find the record OK. I am having problems...

I've got a .BAT file that I use for executing various MS Access apps that I wrote way back in the days of 2.0. It's evolved over time, but it still contains a number of possible paths to MSACCESS.EXE, tries them all, takes the first one it finds, and dies if none is found. Seems to me like at some time or another I was able to clone this .BAT file and implement it with no path. Something about MSACCESS being a registered application.

Trying to write a C# Windows App to export all objects and content from 2 MSAccess 97 databases for comparison analysis. very little documentation found. Have managed to instantiate MSAccess, load database and iterate through relevant objects. Call to TransferText raises error: "Bad Variable Type" error. Call to SaveAsText raises error: "Object Reference Not Set To An Instance Of An Object" error.

I've been unable to determine the correct setting to force a copy of msaccess.exe to be written to target disk during runtime installation process. It may be that the runtime installation determines if msaccess.exe exists somewhere on the target drive and is being "smart" choosing not to write a redundant copy of it. But I'm not as "smart" and I want a copy of msaccess.exe to be written to c:\program files\MyRuntimeApp\ during

I am struggling with some MSAccess automation issues. Basically, we have a .Net application that uses MSAccess for reporting (legacy code). We are able to launch MSAccess fine and even work with the MSAccess COM objects to run our reports (using GetObject(<MDB Path>) - see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;317113&Product=vbNET for info on how to do this). The problem that we are running into is that if our Access...

I am working on an app with an Access2002 frontend and Sql2005 backend. I have to use integrated security. I want to prevent my users from altering data in another way than via the frontend. It looks to me that the mechanism to do it is the Sqlserver sp_setapprole procedure. Works fine when programming directly to Sqlserver, and also een Access Data Project at first sight seems to work as it should via the call to the sp_setapprole proc....

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
