Hi there,
I'm pretty new to SQL and am having some porblems with a linked server.
I have a table on a SQL server which stores employee information.
I also have a view on a linked server which stores the same information.
What I would like to happen is, whenever the view changes on the linked
server I want the information to be changed in the table on my server.
I've been trying to write a trigger to do this, but have had no

I have 2 sql servers (A and B) and have established a link between
them using sp_addlinkedserver. I have created a table (test) on sql
server A. I have created a view (test) on sql server B that selects
from the table (test) on sql server A. When I select from the view on
sql server B I am able to retrieve rows from the view(on B)/table(on
A) with the following query:

Hi all,
I've got a Front End / Back End database that was working just fine.
One day i opened the FE to find that if I tried to open one of the
linked tables from the database window, nothing happened (hourglass
for about 2 seconds then nothing).
I tried relinking the tables and got the same response. (Access even
completely bombed out once with a Dr Watson failure).

Hi,
I've encountered difficulties in maintaining the primary key of a SQL
Server view linked dynamically in VBA to an Access database. If I use
the transferDatabase function, then the user is prompted to choose the
unique identifyer. If I create the link via the ADOX catalog, then the
key is lost and the data isn't updatable. The goal is to create a
dynamically linked updatable view without prompting the user.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
