how can I rotate a table so some of the current rows become column headings?

Col
My table has rows that list type of pay with YTD pay for each as well
as an employee ID number. I want to make the type of pay the column
headings and have each row contain an employee id# and the YTD amount
for each type of pay. Currently each type of pay is a different records
- need the employee ID as one records with all types of pay listed.
Thoughts?

Hi - I've never used a crosstab query, but i thought I they were used
to do some sort of calculation. I don't need to calculate. I just need
to more some of the rows so they are column headings. I appreciate any
help you can offer.

I have been trying to use a couple of javascripts to sort a table by clicking on column headings. Sorttable.js and tablesort.js which I found on the web... I am encountering one problem. In my table, the content of the first cell in each row contains a link to another location. When my table is sorted the displayed table appears correct(sorted) but when I click on the link in the first column it goes to the link

When a table has multiple layers of column and/or row headings, as we know, there are a couple of options for making the table accessible. Using a *scope* attribute is fine as long as the number of column levels or row levels doesn't exceed two, since you can only specify "col" and "colgroup" as scope values in the former case, and "row" or "rowgroup" in the latter. Then there's the use of *id*, *headers*, and *axis*. For most purposes, I...

I've had this in the back of my head for a while. Take a look at Example 1 on http://gavelcade.com/table.html There are three levels of column headings. All table accessibility discussions I've seen would lead to the conclusion that you need to use id and headers attributes on the headers and data cells, respectively, for assistive technology to be able to correctly associate data with headers.

Greetings, I am trying to create a table that has a scrolling body. The problem I'm experiencing is that if the columns in the "body" part of the table exceed the width of the "header" then they columns lose their alignment. Can anyone help me correct this?

When displaying data from the database, very often the field names are not suitable so custom headings have to be created, For example, the column storing zip code may be named zip, but when displayed, it may need to be displayed as "Zip", "Postal Code", "Zip/Postal Code" etc. DataGrid/DataList allow headings to be created but it's usually hardcoded. And the hardcoding is even worse if a row of data is to be displayed in columns, e.g....

Is there really any advantage to using DIV elements with float style properies, vs. the old method of TABLE and TR and TD? I'm finding that by using DIV, it still involves the same number of elements in the HTML to get everything just right. When you consider the class attribute on the DIV elements, there's not much size savings anymore for using DIV. There are other disadvantages to not using TABLE/TR/TD, such as the lack of ability...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
