Compile-error. User defined type not defined? - A97

MLH
After following the instructions at
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=258049
I get an error at compile time complaining
about c As CloseCommand

Function InitApplication ()
'************** *************** *************** *************** *********
' It calls a class module (see Class1 in modules Tab of database
' window) which contains functions to remove the red "X" button
' from the upper right hand corner of the Tow-Pak application.
''************* *************** *************** *************** **********
Dim c As CloseCommand
Set c = New CloseCommand

'Disable Close menu.
c.Enabled = False
End Function

What mistake did I make?

Duhh???

I inadvertently accepted the default name of "Class1"
when I saved the class module. So sorry. After renaming
the class module to "CloseComma nd" ==everything
worked fine as expected.

I've noticed that when I'm fine tuning a class, I seem to get a quick compile time. Then, if I have to compile another class with a change, it takes much longer to compile. The next time I compile the 2nd class, it compiles quickly. Does the compiler do anything like track changes in files or use previous compile output while compiling a file a 2nd or third time? If not, why is there a difference in compile times? It's long enough I...

I am working on a project to migrate a JavaBean + JSP application (running on Oracle application server) to Microsoft ASP.NET + SQL server. In order to see how the original code works, I need to re-compile the old code. I am using Oracle JDeveloper to compile the original code, my question is: Is it possible to use Visual Studio to compile .java files which was not written specifically for Microsoft platform? Will I be able to run the...

I have hard time to understand run-time environment. Let assume that I have a program that has a simple variable alpha. When this variable is statically allocated, the compiler can use the absolute address of alpha to access to it. What confuses me is that when the variable is dynamically allocated, how does the compiler implement it? We know the address of the variable until run-time. During the compilation, how can we access to the...

Hi all, I use VC and gcc/gdb to compile and debug C/C++ files. But I found some of the debug version of the compiled files are too large to be run in a small RAM. Can I compile C/C++ Debug partially? Something like: fileA.c fileB.c And I can compile fileA.c with debug info and compile fileB.c without debug info?

I am porting a website to ASP.net 2.0. Temporarily I compile with Visual Studio 2003 and deploying to ASP.net 2.0. How do I compile my website under ASP.Net 2.0? I know it can compile each page as I touch it. During the beta there used to be something like mywebsite.com/compile.??? that you could run. Does it still exist?

I have a database called MyApp.MDB. When I go into a module and want to compile the thing, it might have, on the menu bar line "Compile MyAppTest". IOW, the app name it's about to compile does not match the application name. This is a bit disconcerting but seems to not affect anything. Any reason why A2003 doesn't know the name of the app it's compiling. I never worried about something like this with A97 since it simply says "Compile...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
