Access 2002 3709 Import Error

All,

I am trying to import a table from Excel, but I get the 3709 error,
search key not found. Any ideas? My TransferSpreads heet method
statement is:

DoCmd.TransferS preadsheet acImport, , "tblStaging ", strFilePath &
"Temp.xls", True, ""

Thanks in advance,
Sarah

I suspect the empty string parameter you have specified for Range is causing
the problem, try this.

DoCmd.TransferS preadsheet acImport, , "tblStaging ", strFilePath &
"Temp.xls", True

I have a database with a moderate number of records in several tables (the biggest table at the moment is about 800 records). In development it got moved between 2K and XP repeatedly. Several days ago, it wouldn't open, and proposed creating a backup before fixing. OK, but the "fixed version" didn't open -- same messages as the original -- but the backup did. But, in the 800 record table only 200 records appeared. We went back several...

In Access 2000 and 2002, I have created an import specification to import the fixed-width recordset below into an existing table. Folks once again I look forward to your invaluable assistance. When converting an Access 2002 mdb back to Access 1997 using the Access 2002 inbuilt tools I receive the following error message "Some errors happened during the conversion. No converted database was generated". This message is not of great assistance to me in sorting out the error!! I have not been able to find any helpful support on where to start looking

Hi, I'm working on converting several of my Access 97 databases to Access 2002 format (the company's changing from NT 4 to XP and updating Office at the same time), and this one has me stumped. As a performance enhancer, I use VBA code (transfertext) to export the results of a query (usually 20-30 thousand rows with a few dozen fields of customer information) to the user's temp folder as a text file and then link to it using a text file...

Background: - I'm running MSDE 2000 (not client tools, stored procedure capability, etc). This may change, but not in the first part of development. - My Access file is an Access 2002 project (.adp project client connecting directly to MSDE SQL database - no .mdb involved or local file tables beyond the .dbfs to be imported). - Using ODBC to connect to .dbf data sources without a problem (ODBC is

We are running an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL 7 back end. Our network guy is upgrading to Windows Server 2003 and wants to upgrade Office and SQL Server at the same time. We're moving to SQL Server 2005, and, since he already has licenses for Office Pro 2002, he wants to upgrade to that. I've been saying that we need to upgrade to Access 2003, not 2002, even if Office is kept at 2002. We are also looking to do a fair amount of...

I am trying to change the data in a text field in a table. I can change this field in other entries, but one specific one I receive this error: The search key was not found in any record. (Error 3709) This error occurs when an ISAM SEEK is being executed and there are no matching values in the index. I do not understand. What does this mean?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
