Cannot close Access

I'm developing a large project in Access with 3rd party control and
custom dlls and sometimes I'm unable to close Access- clicking on the
close button removes it briefly but it reappears. I have to use Task
Manager to get it to close down. In this state I can't compact and
repair either - I get the message "You attempted to close a database
that is already opened exclusively by User 'Admin". Importing all the
tables, forms, etc into a new blank database usually fixes it but this
is pretty tedious as all the references have to be set by hand, and
sometimes even new databases created by Access without any code in them
show this behaviour. This can usually be fixed by restarting, but I'm
sure there's a better way...

Hello, ASP does not work locally on my main web site when I browse the machine locally at the console itself, but to the outside world all is fine, and ASP executes normally. I have 4 other virtual webs on this server and I can browse ASP pages fine, locally. We need this working for a search engine product that is failing when trying to execute URLs against this virtual web site, locally.

I'm launching one window from another. I have a close button in the first window and when I click it, it executes me.close. However, the form also has a treeview control. If I launch the second window on a treeview node selection, the second window launches just fine; however, if I have me.close in the code right after it, I get the error 'cannot access a disposed object called 'treeview'. This even happens if I simply call...

(This is a crosspost from .data for greater exposure) I am writing an external app that utilizes. The app needs to be able to run repeatedly, but I am having a problem because Access will not close. When ..Quit is called, it pops up a blank Access window, which will not close by normal means, only by ending the process in Task Manager. Oddly enough, the first time that this is run after a reboot, it works fine, but every time after that,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
