Best place to learn VBA?

Don't know if those of you who answer the questions are paid or not -
but much thanks for your help! It's well appreciated.

It seems that the more I read about ACCESS online and in books, the
more I realize it's way more effecient to learn VBA.

So, any ideas/recommendations where to start? Free online sources?
Good books?

Thanks!

Good one! Deep chuckle. I don't know what motivates people to post
responses to messages. I suggest it's the old user-group motto
"users-helping-users".

I recommend the MS Step-By-Step book(s). They are worthless unless you
are willing to do the exercises as they are learning by doing types, not
reading and comprehending. You won't be an expert after completing it
but you'll be proficient enough to put some things together. Then hang
out here and start reading the messages daily. A wealth of info is
contained in these messages. And use GoogleGroups since many of us have
been there/done that. See
http://groups.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en. In the group box I
usually enter *Access* and then the keywords I'm searching for to only
return answers from those using MSAccess.

Another place is http://www.mvps.org/access for code examples.

Are we looking at the scripting world through Python colored glasses? Has Python development been sleeping while the world of scripting languages has passed us Pythonista's by? When not using the interactive prompt, what are you using? I keep hearing everyone say Emacs, but I can't understand it at all. I keep trying to learn and understand why so many seem to like it because I can't understand customization even without going through a hundred menus that might contain the thing I am looking for (or I could go learn another language just to customize!). Personally I like SciTE, it has everything I think a...

Simple question... which is better to use for defining font sizes and why? px and em seem to be the leading candidates. I know what the general answer is going to be, but I'm hoping to ultimately get some good real world examples. Fire away! :) Regards, Peter Foti

I am developing a Windows Forms application in VB.NET that will use .NET remoting to access the data tier classes. A very simple way I have come up with is by creating typed (.xsd) datasets. For example dsParts.xsd and including that in the data tier. I then will create a class that looks like this Public Class CPart Inherits dsParts

http://www.JavascriptToolbox.com/bestpractices/ I started writing this up as a guide for some people who were looking for general tips on how to do things the 'right way' with Javascript. Their code was littered with document.all and eval, for example, and I wanted to create a practical list of best practices that they could easily put to use. The above URL is version 1.0 (draft) that resulted. IMO, it is not a replacement for the FAQ,...

Hi experts, What's considered the best book to learn javascript? I searched this newsgroup but the postings are over five years old, so is there a good book to learn. I've searched Amazon and found that the best rated is, among others, John Pollock, "JavaScript: A Beginner's Guide." I am not a big fan of the O'Reilly books, to be honest. I do know C and C++ but no Java, so would Pollock's book is the best starting place?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
