Hi,
I am writing a small game that is using a form 800 * 600. The form
can be scrolled vertically up to a height of 1200 (basically the form
can be scrolled down one screen vertically).
The user controls a picturebox (my sprite) with the cursor keys
When the sprite hits the y value of 600 the screen scrolls down to
display the bottom part of the screen (by focusing on a hidden

Here's my situation. I have a statically positioned table that has an image
in a cell. I also have some layers, defined by absolute-positioned DIVs for
some animation. Everything works until I scroll/resize. Then the image
"moves" on the screen but the animation doesn't. The net effect is that
their relative positioning changes. I'd like to have it be that they would
stay in the same relative position. I want to keep the image as an...

The form elements present a major challenge in IE. Apparently, IE
renders the legend element in odd way. In IE, the legend falls in the
middle of the fieldset border; the background falls outside the
border. When one set position: relative, IE chokes and does not
always displays the legend element; or pushes it off the page.
Negative margins do not help either since the background falls outside
the border.
In addition, the behavior...

I have some old code that I use from the Access 95 Developers handbook. The
code works very well, with the exception that it doesn't seem to recognize
wide screens, and sizes tab controls so that they are too big and wind up
covering up some of the fields on the main form.
Is there any good code out there that works in a similar fashion that will
also either a) stretch the form width wise on widescreens or b), rely on
height rather than...

Thanks everyone for help in my previous post. Using the
"Point.op_Addition" from the previous post I have to now focus on the
real problem.
I need to manually position a new form so that its upper left hand
corner is positioned exactly in the middle of the button that was
pressed (Button1).
I can't seem to get the knack of Location() and PointToScreen() to
position the new form here. According to the help, location() is to do

Hello,
I have a simple problem: mark a list of defects
on an image.
I think the best way to do it is to select a single
deffect, then take two coordinates of coursor
form an image on a web page (first when user press
the button, and the second when he releases it).
Those two points are going to be send to the web
application (i.e. with AJAX) and saved in a database.

This seems like it should be simple and I am pretty sure I've done similar
things a hundred times before but I sure can't seem to get it right this time.
I have a GridView with a column of text boxes. If I want to position an
image over the GridView just below, for instance, the textbox in row 4 of the
GridView. I don't care that it covers the other textboxes. I am
successfully obtaining the textbox and the image objects in client-side...

Hi all
Can anyone advise how to get the position of an open form and how to set the
position of an opening form within the access window.
I have: MA Access97 (because I do not have the funds to obtain a more recent
version nor the time to learn the new interface)
Form1 and form2. Both forms are an identical size because of the length of
the captions of the controls on the forms.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
