Dear all,
Here is my problem:
There is a table "products" in my access database, since some of the
products are out of date and stopped manufacture, I would like to delete
those PRODUCTS from the table, but I was not allowed to do that, because
"there are records related with those PRODUCTS in other tables (e.g. in
table "ORDER_DETAIL").

My basic question is why does my print report button on my subform print a
blank report when my cursor is on a blank entry line? Here is a more
detailed explanation of my problem.
I have a form that contains shipment destination information and a subform
that contains boxes for that shipment. The main form is a table called
Ship_Info, and the subform is a table called Label_Info. They both contain
and are linked by a field called...

Hi,
we saw the following problem:
We deleted all rows from a table B referencing table A (~500000 records). No
problem, but the following try to delete all records from table A (~180000) lead
to a "never ending" statement. We found out, that vacuuming table B after delete
did the trick.
It seems to us the database has to do scan thru deleted records on B while

I am trying to fix a database that someone did about 4 yrs ago in
access97.
The main table just contains demographics and is on the main form of
the database.
It has a subform on a tab that contains the other information.
it is set 1 to 1 in the relationships.
simplify if I can

I've got apps where you *really* wouldn't want to delete certain items by
accident, but the users just have to have a "Delete" button.
My current strategies:
Plan A:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Make the cmd button black and do not give it an accelerator key.
2) Issue two levels of confirmation (Do you want to delete... Do you REALLY want

Hi All,
I am getting strange situation. These r the steps I have followed:
1. Created an EMPLOYEE table with around 14 fields & 688038 records.
(so a large table indeed).
2. Tried to delete all the rows in the table using the traditional
DELETE FROM EMPLOYEE stmt. It is taking around 53 secs to delete all
the records.
So I have done the below steps to make it fatster:
(i) Create an empty file called No_Data.DEL in the C:\ drive....

I have a form based on a complex query (Lots of tables)
If I delete a record, everything appears to be OK. Get the message "Youa are
about to delete 1 record ....". I say yes. The record count goes down
correctly. Then if I do Records-->Remove Filter/Sort there are the deleted
records back as if they had never been deleted. Same thin exactly if I do
the operation on the form's recordsource query, so that eliminates anything
to do with...

I'm experiencing a very strange problem. My application is MS Access
front-end and MS SQL server back-end database. I have a SQL statement
that deletes records from a table after an export process. The
problem is occasionally when the delete statement is executed, these
records no longer display on List Box (not even in the MS Access link
table). But when close and reopen the form, those records reappear.
It almost like MS SQL server...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
