Hiding the mouse pointer

Is it possible to selectively hide and show the mouse pointer from
within access. I have several kiosk stations setup where there is NO
mouse or keyboard, only a scanner and a number pad. The cursor is
distracting to some of the these users. The only time the mouse will
ever be needed is if the mgr remotes into the station and activiates
the management form. When he exits, the station reboots and reloads
the app.

If it is only possible with an API call, can someone please explain how
that works?

Thanks

I am trying to catch mouse position on the entire screen by dynamically generating mouse click event at every 100 ms. My code only works for IEs but not any Netscape or Gecko-based browsers. The following are the problems and I hope that there is someone who can enlighten me or give me some pointers. Also, my testing code is attached at the end. And please don't ask me why I am doing this - it is one of functional requirements by all...

I track the mouse location like this code: function mousePos(e) { var p = new Object(); if(e) { p.x = e.pageX; p.y = e.pageY; } else { p.x = event.x; p.y = event.y; } ... (show) } document.onmousemove=mousePos; Seems to do fine on many browsers.

I'm trying to implement some pretty basic behavior in c#/.net 1.1 Forms but can't seem to find all the requisite pieces. When a user clicks on the background of the form, I want the app to start receiving MouseMove updates -- whether the pointer is over the form or not (this being the crucial part) -- until the next MouseDown. It's easy to receive MouseMove events while the pointer is over the form but not when the pointer leaves. (Forms...

Does anyone have a cross-browser solution for hiding scrollbars and/or disabling scroll for the whole page? When the user clicks something, I want to display a DIV that fills the whole client area. While this DIV is displayed, they can close it by clicking the close button on the DIV. During the time this DIV is visible though, I don't want them to be able to scroll (and they usually can scroll because the page itself is typically...

Hello I've searched, posted and solved this (Thanks for helping!), but now it came back to bite me in the *ss. I have a Yes/No field that is represented by a check box in my form1. I want to show another field (textbox) when the mouse pointer goes over the checkbox, and make it not visible when the mouse moves away from it. My problem is that when I make the textbox diseappear, if the user set focus on it and moves the mouse away, Access...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
