application.pri nters port problem

I am using MS-Access XP and am using the following syntax Set
Application.Pri nter = Application.Pri nters("PrinterN ame") to change the
default printer.
Then when I go to check the associated printer port for any of the
printers (using application.pri nters("differen tprintername"). port, they
all return the same printer port as the printer that I switched to,
even though some printers have different ports associated.
Anyone know what is going on here?

This is a known bug/feature. IF you search the Access NG's via GoogleGroups
you will find several relevant threads and an API based solution.

Hi people, I need to write a C# program which communicates with a thermal printer. After a search for the web I found that a way to comunicate with the ports is calling the kernel32.dll, which has some external methods (CreateFile, WriteFile, ReadFile, Get/Set CommSettings, Get / Set CommTimeOuts) to communicate with the port. My first problems with this dll is that I couldn't find the right

Hello, Five years of development has us using a very large database (a couple hundred screens) in one location, which is very managable. Now our company will be expanding to several distant states and wants a live database throughout. What are my options? One suggestion was that we make a web-based application for ease of updates and availability to remote sites. That would, of course, involve a complete rewrite of the front end...

I have a USB printer connected to my PC. My winform app prints out some text using the typical print methods that are normally used. I will then turn off the printer or disconnect the USB cable. My application still prints fine and reports no error. Of course, then windows pops up a balloon from the system tray alerting me that the printing failed. The print job just sits in the printer's print queue, until I reconnect the printer and...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
