Hi,
We have a .net web application, and are trying to use
PrinterSettings.InstalledPrinters to list the printers installed on the
webserver. (Windows 2003 server R2, IIS 6, .net framework 2.0.)
The printers installed on the web server under the account used by asp.net
for this web application are network printers that are shared by other

I have a USB printer connected to my PC. My winform app prints out some
text using the typical print methods that are normally used. I will
then turn off the printer or disconnect the USB cable. My application
still prints fine and reports no error. Of course, then windows pops up
a balloon from the system tray alerting me that the printing failed.

I have made an electronic sign out book for my office in ASP using
VBScript.
Problem is, when there is a fire we need to check who is out and who
is burning. I have been trying to think of how to go about this,
perhaps the only way is by having an 'emergency print' button that
quickly prints thedocument to one, or even better all printers on the
network. That way when everyone is leaving they can grab the print
from the printer.

I'm writing an app to run on a server, hopefully autmated, and every 5
minutes it needs to hit a database and if any new records have been
entered, print the record to a printer depending on certain criteria.
