I created a page that will be doing image resizing and manipulation,
which seems to work (using GD library). However, upon returning to
the page where the image has been changed, I still see the old image,
until I refresh my browser and then zappo, there it is! All changed!
I have done everything I can think of to force caching including this:
// Date in the past
header("Expires: Mon, 26 Jul 1997 05:00:00 GMT");

After rebuilding our web server from NT 4.0 IIS 4.0 to Windows 2000
IIS 5.0, I'm constantly getting HTTP Headers posted to the top of the
HTML source (generated from ASP pages of course). This only seems to
happen upon hitting the browser's (IE 6.0) "back" button and not even
100% of the time when hitting the back button. Here's an example of
the source that is generated:

Hello,
I am having a lot of problems figuring out layout in CSS. There are a
couple of problems that I am facing:
1. My layout requires me to have 3 sections at the top of the page. So
I broke these up into three divs each with float: left. But when I
reduce the width of the browser each of these div wrap under the
other. I thought putting overflow:hidden would help but it doesnt seem
to. Can someone please help here.

I created a header file to be included in every webpage. The header file
has images that have a path to an "images" folder off the root folder.
However if I use this header file for web pages that reside in subfolders,
I have to change the path of all the image links to '../images/' instead of
'images/'.
What's the best way to have a single header file which *any* web page,
regardless of its location, can use without modifying it to suit...

I have just stumbled upon an what seems to be a very under-rated feature in
IIS - the "Enable Content Expiration" option under a website's properties. I
have an ASP.NET web application that has a lot of subdirectories and each one
has its own set of images (I know its not best design practice, but there is
a business reason behind it). Many pages on the site have quite a few images
and there is a noticeable time lag each time the user...

I have a web form that generates 4 or 5 printed pages of html and a few
images. I know how to insert CSS page breaks.
Is there a way to calculate on the server where the page will break - like
an IE print preview on the server ?
or
Is there a way on the server to include a header/footer such that when the
web form is printed from Internet Explorer, each printed page has a header

I desperately need help. My understanding of CSS is non-existent. I have a store http://astore.amazon.com/texasheat-20 with Amazon.com. According to the information from Amazon.com "Write your own overriding CSS to customize your aStore." Their setup page is divided into two sections. On the right they show the existing CSS. On the left there is a box where you can add the new code. They have tabs for "Global", "Category Page", "Detail Page",...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
