field that uses the now expression for date and time does not enter the data into my table. Why?

I use the Now expression to use the date and time of my sustem. I want
that info to add itself to my table. How do I do that?

Did you use =Now() as the ControlSource? If so then that is the problem.
If you want a form control's data to be saved to the table then the
ControlSouce for that control MUST be the name of a field in your
RecordSource. It cannot be any kind of expression.

You can either use =Now() as the DefaultValue property or you can use a code
event to "push" the value of Now() into the control. In your case the
default should be appropriate and is the easier to use.
