Syntax for password protectd database...

Hello,

I have an ADO connection object connected to an external ms access password
protected database. I am trying to execute a delete statement from that
object on a table in my currentdb. Seems strange I know, but I have to do
it this way. My currentdb is NOT password protected. When I execute:

Delete * from table1 IN "C:\abc.mdb "

I get an "Invalid Password" error.

My ado connection object to the password protected database is already open
so I don't think it's that password, and my currentdb has no database
password so I'm a bit confused. Deos anyone know the correct syntax?

Thanks.

I'm not the smartest guy for this one, and I've never connected to an
external database to execute a query on the local one (letting you know
up front), but here's something to at least start with:

It almost seems as though your statement is creating a new connection
to try and execute your DELETE statement. Perhaps check to make sure
you don't have more than one ADO connection object referenced?

You may also want to re-check your connection string.
http://www.connectionstrings.com has a whole buch of
syntactically-correct connection strings in different permuatations
(i.e. OLE DB connection string with password, without password, with
trusted connection, etc).

I will also be using "Insert Into 'table in local.mdb' Select * from table1
in 'password protected.mdb'" . My connections strings are fine. I have an
ado connection open for my local mdb, it's the syntax to select from the
password protected mdb that's got me stuck.

Good day, I've been trying to work with SQL and an Access database in order to handle custom user profiles. I haven't had any trouble reading from my database, but inserting new entries into it has been troublesome to say the least. My ASP.NET script is supposed to execute an INSERT INTO statement in order to add a user to the database. Here is a sample:

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
